Has anyone had problems with vendors returning your phone calls? We're looking at photographers right now, and the two we're most interested in are not returning our calls, and it's becoming quite frustrating. Maybe we're being stubborn, but we feel that if they want our business, they should at least have the courtesy to return our calls. But if this is how they conduct business, we'll continue looking elsewhere. Anyone else encounter problems like this? If so, what did you do?

I don't know when you called and I'm not trying to make excuses for anyone, but if you called within the past couple of days I would be willing to bet they were busy shooting weddings. This weekend was a busy wedding weekend and they usually work then. Give it another day.

Yeah dont worry about it, I have makeup people not contact me, its bec they are extremely busy around this time and same goes for photographers. The best bet is not to leave them a voicemail, but talk to them directly over the phone, if they are not there just call at a later time

I agree with you. if someone is in a competitive business trying to buy a part of your event they should definitely be calling you back. Did you see these 2 places yet? If not they might not be returning your calls because they are already booked for the date and time of your event. If you already saw them and you know your date is open I wouldn't think twice about taking your business elsewhere if you find someone else you like as well.
We didn't have any vendors like that, but we had a really hard time getting our morgage broker on the phone when we were buying our house. It was so frustrating and I left a couple of nasty messages. Unfortunately we were already in contract by then. Good Luck.
