problems w/my dress..please help

I PURCHASED MY DRESS FROM DAVIDS BRIDAL AND 2 WEEKS LATER I DIDNT LIKE THE HALTER SO I ATTEMPTED TO HAVE IT REMOVED AND MADE STRAPLESS..THE SEAMSTRESS CALLS AND WOULD RATHER NOT ATTEMPT THIS..SO SHOULD I TRY TO SELL THIS DRESS AND FORGET THE RECONSTRUCTION OR TRY TO SELL LATER AND PURCHASE ANOTHER DRESS..DAVIDS ARE ALL SALES FINAL

Why don't you post it on here and on Craig's list and E-bay-see if there is any takers. I would start by doing that-the sooner, the better.

agreed. Maybe sell it here. If you dont mind me asking...why did you not like the halter? Im torn between halter and strapless.

WELL PIXIE.. I INITIALLY IMAGINED MY HAIR AND JEWELRY IN A STRAPLESS UNTIL I ACTUALLY TRIED ONE ON.. I HAVE A SHORT TORSO AND THE HALTER ELONGATED MY FIGURE AND HAD THE PEARL AND STONES ..DO I DECIDED THAT IT COULD WORK.. BUT HEY

Oh so wait...you want a halter? So you had it a halter, switched to strapless and now want a halter again? Or am I confused. If it elongates your torso then you would want it...correct? Im sure your beautful in each. Post some pics and we can all give you encouragement!

NOPE...DIDNT REALLY WANT A HALTER ,SETTLED FOR HALTER THEN TRIED TO TURN INTO STRAPLESS.. DUE TO THE V STYLE AT THE END OF THE STOMACH AREA...THATS WHAT GAVE THE ELONAGTED LOOK.. IM NOT GOOD AT ATTACHING THINGS.. BUT WILL DO MY BEST

I would take it to another seamstress. Davids Bridal alterations department doesn't have the best reputation. If you love the dress otherwise, I would try taking it elsewhere before givng up on it.

I've heard of people exchanging dresses at David's.......if your seamstress didn't start attempting the removal or anything else, it doesn't hurt to ask David's about it.

I bought my dress at Davids and then found one that I liked better there. As long as it has not been altered, you can exchange it for a new dress

have you explained this to David's bridal -they do exchanges I think.

I am a bridesmaid at my friends wedding got a dress there -lost some weight and they exchanged it for me -I did have to talk to the manager about it but in the end I got a new dress in my size and didn't have to spend money on alterations
