Processional - Bridesmaids (with Poll)

Do you plan on having your bridesmaids walk down the aisle by themselves, or with the groomsmen? ...and for what reasons?

Due to the small width of the aisle in my Church and for time, the BM will walk down by themselves, get their photograph taken by the fountain and then walk into their aisle seat. The GM will walk out lined up at the alter.

After the mass, the GM will escort the BM and have their picture taken together.

Only my 2 MOH's will walk down by themselves.

I was thinking they would walk down by themselves because i like the idea of FH not standing alone at the alter but having his men around him. this was how it was at the last few weddings i was at/in and i liked the look of it.

Since I have 10 bridesmaids and FI has 10 groomsmen I'm having them be escorted down, except for my MOH. I asked the bridesmaids what they thought, in an email...and everyone said they'd rather be escorted, so that's what I went with!

I would really like to have the Groomsmen escort the BMs down the aisle - but I'm not overly sure how it is done in my FH church. He's catholic and I'm not...Any help on that one?

I had two bms escorted by one gm because the bms outnumbered the gms. It saved a lot of time that way.

they will all walk individually--but my reason is that my BP is vey small--and unbalanced. FH has a Bm and 2 GM--all guys. I have 1 MOH, 1 female BM, and 1 male BM--so i figured it would be better to have them all walk by themselves so there's no need to figure out how to make them walk in couples.

I am having one MOH and one BM, but we have five GM so it just makes more sense for the MOH and BM to walk down alone. The GM will wait up front.

I haven't decided yet, but my question is:

even if the BMs walk down the aisle alone, the BMs and GMs still pair up for the walk back up the aisle, right? Or does everyone just do single file?

Yes, that's what we're doing. The guys will be up there with FH and the girls will walk down alone. Then they will pair up to walk back up the aisle.

We are doing it this way because just like how it looks when the girls walk down themselves and lead up to the entrance of the bride. Then once we are married and we walk up the aisle together, all the girls/guys will walk together also.

i'm having the girls walk down by themselves. fh and his best man will be at the altar and the other gm will be escorting our grandmothers down (none of our grandfathers are alive)
