processional question

Im having the ceremony at my hall. I m not sure the order of how the bridesmaid walk down the aisle . does it go in order of who i am closer with goes last? and if so . how would they then line up?do they line up as the first person who walks down goes starts to form a line furtherest from hwere the bride would stand? i am so confused.

and does my bridal party stand the whole time during the half hour ceremony.

The person closes to you goes towards the end of the line and when they walk the first one to go is the one who will stand the furthest from you

The order varies--it's your choice. It could be who is closest to you or height.

FTR, this is what I did. I had five BMs, including my maid of honor. I worked under the 'closest to me' school of thought. They walked down the aisle from least close to most close, with the MOH being last before me.

Similarly, the closer they were to me figuratively, the closer they stood to me literally up front. The MOH should be standing next to you so she can help you with your bouquet, train arrangement after you've walked up, etc.

Generally, the bridal party stands the entire time. It would be ultra nice and completely optional for you to provide chairs during your 30-minute ceremony, unless one of them has a health issue, like mobility impairment or knee problems that prevent them from standing for extended periods of time. It wouldn't hurt to allow them to wear comfy shoes, either.

GL!

ETA--typos fixed.

ohhh ok ! thanx. i guess then at rehersal they will tell the first girl where to stand so there will be enough room for the rest of the bridesmaids to line up next to me then
