Productive day, all things considered
So I ended up going to the mall after all. It just goes to show you how the rules don't apply on long island, because it was freaking mobbed. What recession? I think it's JR prom season or something ![]()

Anyhoo I went to the MAC store to play around with some alternate lipcolors because I wasn't sure if I was feeling the one from my trial...but after trying a few others, I decided to stick with it and bought a tube for touch ups. It's pretty and natural, and not as dark as the ones I tried on today, so overall I think it will work.
Got a simple t-shirt material turtle neck at NY&Co for 8 bucks! Woot!
Also discovered that Charlotte Russe isn't so trampy anymore. They go in ebbs and flows of trampiness, and the stuff was pretty decent today. I didn't buy anything, but my bday is coming up, and I think my parents are giving me a Visa, so I may go back because they had some really nice maxi dresses for HM.
Payless had my big foot size for once, and I was able to get another pair of sneaker shoes that I desperately needed. Beige for spring/summer.
Forever 21 was a zoo. My god in heaven. But I was able to find a few things there. Got a beautiful royal blue vneck dress, had a gold floral pattern with fleur de lis, it was very Greek Islands looking. 10 dollar sundress, woot again. Also bought what will most likely be my RD dress...black jersey, long sleeve, v neck. I was missing the little black dress from my wardrobe, so it was worth it. Good for the RD, FH's business functions, and unfortunately can probably wear tomorrow to the wake.
It was definitely a good distraction. FH arrived home safely just a few minutes before, so that's one less thing to worry about.
AND I put my contacts in for the first time since New Year's Day today! So far so good...it took a while to get used to the different prescription again, and it's starting to give me a little headache, but they're not red, so fingers crossed I won't have any more eye problems for a while!
