Productive weekend!

Productive weekend!

I feel like FH and I got SO much done this weekend! Even though I've been a little under the weather for the past week and thus am EXHAUSTED, I am so pleased with what we got done!

We ...

- picked up our wedding bands and they are gorgeous ... my ring is so unique and beautiful. When I woke up this morning the first thing I did was go look at them ... FH says he wants to hide them from me since he thinks I will start wearing my wedding band for fun

- registered at both BB&B and Macy's. I thought this would be a much harder process than it was since we already live together, but we had so much fun and found a lot of things we really want!

- booked our DJ! We are going to work with Tom at Spin Around Sound ... so excited.

Great weekend! Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

Thanks! I am feeling great about what we've done so far ... though I wish every day was a weekend so I could spend it entirely doing wedding planning

I wish that planning my wedding qualified as a full-time job and that someone would pay me to do it ... I would be thrilled

Congrats! Did you find it hard registering at both BBB and Macy's? We have a lot more on the BBB then Macy's. Which Macy's did you go to? We went to the one by the Walt Whitman Mall and struggled.

YES, it was so difficult to register at both places. We did BBB first because the majority of our guests are our age (mid-late 20s) and we wanted them to have affordable options, of which there are PLENTY of. The Macy's registry was really for our families and people who would not want to get us a table runner but some crystal candlesticks ... so the stuff was more expensive, but also ... we registered for so many things we LOVED at BBB that we sorta ran out of things to register for at Macy's, lol.

We went to the Queens Center Macy's - I wanted to go to the one at Roosevelt Field on Saturday, but after we spent 2.5 hours at the BBB over there we were exhausted and just couldn't do it! Overall I am pleased with what we registered for, but I feel like we need some more things. The woman who helped us at BBB said we should register for double the amount of guests - but FH and I already live together, and registering for 400+ gifts just feels ludicrous!

I feel your pain. It will be two years in our house together and you only need so many upgrades. Some of the stuff on Macy's was soo overpriced. We aren't registering for China. Even the duvet covers were crazy. We added some stuff online - frames etc. I still don't think I have enough on the registries and I'm tired of looking at them. It is totally exhausting.
