I know this topic has probably been covered a ton of times, but I really need some help getting together my programs and menus. I'm undecided on DIY or having someone do them. I wouldn't mind getting someone to do them but have no idea where to go and don't want to spend a lot of money on these. For those who did DIY, where did you find the paper, template, etc., and how hard was it? Any help would be great!

Re: Program and Menu Help!
let's start with:
what kind of programs do you want?
bi fold tri fold fan z fold
then we can work from there.
no. they aren't hard to make. first we need to know what kind of set-up you're thinking about
eta: layered program... thanks kat, forgot that one

Re: Program and Menu Help!
I have a template for layered program. I used it for my wedding and so did MrsStephan. FM me with your email address and I will send it to you.
Here is a non-professional picture of my menus / programs.

Re: Program and Menu Help!
I'm thinking just a bifold program. Maybe layered for the menus (I think I know what you mean, but could you explain?)
Can you print them yourself at home or would you go somewhere to print them? And what about purchasing the paper?
Thanks for any help!

bi fol means it looks like a book.
you can easily do this at home.
you only need special paper for the cover, you can get that anywhere: craft store, office supply store.
let me know if you need more help

Re: Program and Menu Help!
What kind of special paper do you mean? I was thinking of doing an outer 'cover' in red with the inside with all of the information in ivory.
What do you mean by 'layered'?

Re: Program and Menu Help!
is trifold like a brochure? (this is probably such a stupid question)

Re: Program and Menu Help!
yeah, i think trifold is like a brochure. my favorite is the bifold - just a folded in half program.

Re: Program and Menu Help!
I'm not doing programs, but I am doing menus.
I did a search on here and looked at dozens of menus from all different brides to get an idea of what I wanted to do, fonts I liked, etc. I also took notes on what size paper everyone used, paper websites, etc.
I decided I was going to make my menus 4.25x11 (half of a sheet of paper). And I just started typing (after we chose our menu). I have made a million changes - making the font smaller, trying out different fonts and clip art. The hardest part was finding snowflake clip art that I liked! lol.
I just bought white cardstock in Michaels yesterday, so now all I have to do is cut the paper in half and start printing!
