Program Question

Program Question

I am beginning to design our ceremony program. I'd like to include a small tribute to a few friends and realtives.

All but 1 of our Grandparents have passed away, My Nana is the only one who will be at the wedding. My Aunt has also passed. We lost a friend on Sept 11 who would have been in or wedding party. We'd like to write a small paragraph at the end of the program to recognize these people.

Have you ever seen anything like this? Any ideas for wording?

Or is this just not a good idea?

TIA for any input.

Re: Program Question

Unless it's a very recent death I don't like naming everyone, I feel it can upset people too much. Just add a paragraph about those family and friends that aren't here with us, we know they're with us in spirit today, etc.

Re: Program Question

I've seen little paragraphs on most wedding programs. I wanted to do something myself for our grandparents (all have passed away) as well as an aunt and some friends. i was going to write something myself, but am still unsure of the wording.

I know my church told me that they have samples of programs, so i was going to look at some of those to get ideas. I think short and sweet and simple is best...just how much you miss them and wish they were there, but know they're there in spirit....something like that.

Re: Program Question

I've seen it done but can't remember how.
I think I am going to put in people besidees recent deaths.
they are close family who would have been involved in the wedding to some degree.
FH's unlce died 2 years ago & is his groomsmen's father. It would be weird to not mention him.

I have also seen:

The bride & groom dedicate the flowers in memory of those who are no longer with us:
grandma
grandpa
etc

We especially remember (Grandpa's name) (3/11/16-5/8/04), who shared our joy and excitement as we prepared for this special day. you are always in our hearts and we feel your presence with us.
