Program Wording

Anyone have good suggestions on how to word the generic 'thank you' to guests for coming.

Also need help on what I should say about my dad, who passed away last summer. I don't want anything too sad, but something sweet and simple. Suggestions?

Sorry, I can't offer advice on your dad but I'm sure a short heartfelt sentiment would be nice.

With Gratitude...

To our parents, for your endless and unconditional love. Your constant guidance, support and friendship have made us the people we are today. Through your example you have taught us what love truly means.

To our families, you have watched over us and guided our growth. You have always been there for us through good times and bad.

To our friends, who have kept us laughing through life’s journeys.

To all of you sharing in this special day with us, we are blessed to have you in our lives.

HTH! They all pretty much come out sounding the same so I'm sure you can get ideas from reading a few peoples and just personalize it for yourselves...I actually collected a few from my church in the months before my wedding for ideas...

Here is what we did for FH's dad who passed away just 8 days before our wedding....

Here is what we wrote for a thank you...

Dear Family and Friends,

We want to thank you all for sharing this special day with us. Whether you traveled two miles or two thousand, it is your presence here today which makes our wedding day perfect. We are truly grateful for all of your love and support in our lives. We look forward to a lifetime of happiness, and to sharing it with you.

And a special thank you to our parents. We would not be who we are today without you. We thank you for your unconditional love, guidance, encouragement and support.
