I am working on the program, and I am referring to us. Do I use our names bride & groom or we.
Here's an example - which should it be?
Symbolism of the Chuppah The Chuppah represents the home that we will create together
or The Chuppah represents the home that 'bride' and 'groom' will create together
I'm really not sure which, although I am leaning towards using our names

Re: Program wording
I am using our names. It seems more personal to me.

Re: Program wording
'We' is speaking in the 1st person. 'Jane & John' is in the 3rd person. How is the rest of your program? If you say 'Our Wedding Party', for example, the 'We' is more consistent.

Re: Program wording
Dubliner...what else are you putting definitions for in your program? The chuppah and what else? I need to start putting my program together and I'm not sure what I should put in it. Are you doing those definitions b/c many of your guests are not Jewish or do most people do those? Thanks!

Re: Program wording
I've seen it done both ways. I did my program in the 3rd person but on the back I had a note from us in the 1st person. As for things to include, I wrote about The Ketubah, the Chuppah, The Seven Blessings, Breaking of the Glass, and Yihud. I didn't get in to much details, just one or two lines about each. If you want more details, send me a forum mail.
