Are you having them? Do you see it as a waste of paper and time on making your own? I'm really trying to decide on whether or not I should make them. Any suggestions, or opinions, greatly appreciated.

Re: Programs?
I am thinking about it...looking to see how much it will cost me. Its a nice touch.
I wonder what guests think of them? If they just toss them after the wedding?

Re: Programs?
I'm definately doing them.
Eventhough many of them do get tossed after the wedding, i've always loved it when couples have had them... i enjoy being able to follow along with the ceremony, and kow the names of the BP, etc...
i also love the ones where the couple puts a special thank you to their family and friends... i Always keep those ones... it makes it more personal IMO

Re: Programs?
initially I thought it was a waste, as I always toss them (there is just no room!) But, I think it really 'includes' everyone on what is going on and makes them feel a more active part of the ceremony. I am going to make them and not spend lots of $ on them. THey are also good for letting people know things like :: 'We will have a group photo taken immediatly after the ceremony.' etc...

Re: Programs?
I am having them done and although I agree that they are often the items with the shortest lifespan, they really do enhance my enjoyment of a ceremony. This is particularly true if we are at a wedding with different cultural traditions. They can be done as inexpensively or pricey as you like -- from a simple printed page tied with a ribbon (which can be done for pennies) to something more ornate.

Re: Programs?
we are going to do them pending they come out ok. I am going to take care of it myself since I don't see the need for something else to spend money on..
I think it is nice to list the wedding party and everyone involved in the ceremony. Ours will be a one pager-- just to name everyone. You know, 'the cast'.

Re: Programs?
This is one task I am looking forward to. I am hoping to find a creative bone in me to make ours. I think they add a very nice touch and I would like our wedding party listed by name so everyone will know who are special attendants are. I've kept a few from weddings in the past but eventually get rid of them. I think it is a lovely touch to the ceremony. I also plan on doing an 'In Rememberance' of my father who passed away in 1990 on the last page. I'd like him included in my day as well.
