Re: Programs

What about asking your clergy person about the order of the ceremony? I know my church has the ceremony printed in the hymnal. I am going to make my programs based on that!

no a program is used for the ceremony. For example with my program like most others. On the left hand side it listed the names of our parents, grandparents, and the names of all our bridal party members. Then on the right hand side was the order of everything and the names of it.

For example it listed all our readings by name plus the name of the reader who was going to read it.

Also listed our processional song, my song when walking in.

The prayers and the names of the prayers.

Unity candle

the song that was sung.

and just listed everything in order

an invitation isn't a program, just says where the church is. The program tells you everything that will happen at the church.

yeah i know i am the same religion as you, i am orthodox and yeah there are no programs. We dont have readers and the same sort of stuff. But although i am orthodox i got married in a catholic church, dh is catholic and he and his family are a lot more religious than i am. Plus it was alot easier for me to get married in a catholic than it was for him to get married in an orthodox church. Not to mention my MOH and Best man would not have been orhtodox
