Programs if you are having a mass
If you are having a full mass do you have to put everything in your programs including the readings?

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I wouldn't think so. I would just put a reading from the book of whatever it is

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I had a ceremony, not a mass, but I wrote the whole thing out including all the prayers, the readings, the prayer of the faithful, our vows, etc. It was about 8 pages, including a page with a little poem and the list of everyone in the BP. You can make it as brief or as detailed as you want. My priest had a thick accent and I wanted everyone to understand the ceremony which is why I wrote everything out.

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I had a full mass and like JENNBABY, I only put the titles of the readings in..But, come to think of it I kind of like the idea of having the the full-text of the readings included. I have never seen that done, and think that it would be really neat..

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I am having a full mass and am writing out the readings, the responsorial psalm, the gospel and the nuptial blessing we chose. Everything else I just listed as it happened in the mass. My booklet is not too big. I like it to have a little more substance than just two pages listing the BP and the Order of the Mass. I personally think it makes it nicer. JMO!

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I'm doing programs and I wrote out both the readings just so people can read along.. sometimes your readers are nervous and say them so fast, you know?I'm also putting the names of all the different music, a quick blurb on how we met and who everyone is in the party & how we know them/why they are important to us.
I also wrote a special thankyou to my parent's as they are footing the bill :)

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
No, the program is just that... a guide for the attendee. The program lists the Reading titles i.e., Matthew 15:2 and who would be reading it like your Aunt or friend. Including copies of your readings and songs is up to you if you think people won't be able to follow along. There are some great websites with examples of programs. LOLO

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I'm having a full mass. On my program I'm putting the names of the readings and the readers. I'm also putting the the names of the sections of the mass and the wedding party. On the back I put a Love poem, a thank you and our new address and phone number. Check out this website. I got my ideas here when I was making mine.sample programs

Re: Programs if you are having a mass
I had a full mas also. I wrote out all the readings, the responsorial psalm (it was a song) and our Candle Lighting song. Everything else was just a title. I also had the bridal party listed and a thank you message to everyone. All together, the booklet was 2-double sided pages.
