I don't think they're that important. It's the last thing on my list to do- if I have time, I will do it- if not, oh well! I think everyone gets the point- there are friends and family walking down the aisle, then (and most importantly) we are married, then people walk back down the aisle. If I do it, I'm only doing it to explain some of the customs, since we're having an interfaith wedding- but again, most people already know some about other cultures' weddings.

Re: Programs-yes or no?
I will probably make my own. FH has a great quality printer and there i no reason why we can't do it.
Programs are a great way to honor the attendants in my opinion. I have seen programs that don't just list the order of events, but they also have nice descriptions of the relationships you have with those who are participating. in your special day.

Only a ceremony for us.... and I made them based off of a template someone posted here on LIW
It's like anything else for a wedding.... do you need it? Not always, but it's a nice touch

I'm going to make my own (with help from a friend). We're having an interfaith ceremony, so it's important to me that our families and friends have something tangible that explains the various aspects of our ceremony.

Re: Programs-yes or no?
I want programs. I can't order them together with the invitations because there are so many details of the wedding ceremony I haven't resolved yet.
The programs will have readings and songs in both english and spanish so that the people from my side of the family who don't speak english understand what's going on.
