projected budget

projected budget

According to the knot, my projected wedding cost is over $4000 over budget. Yay!

ugh!!! Sorry!

Thats why my FH wouldn't let us do a budget, cause he knew I'd be obsessing and flipping out. We just take each thing/vendor, and know how much we're willing/not willing to spend, and try to find the best deal.

That is great advice! Staying to budget is impossible and frustrating!

Our 'budget' is basically to work within the money we received from our families, and then to not add much. lol, but seriously I cant use those budget pages bc it's just not set for what I am dealing with/including.

I know we are going to spend too much, but in the end, the memories and special moments will last a lifetime.

we are trying to do that too. whenever we went to see a vendor we knew what our limit was and worked ith that. he's good with money/math so i leave that stuff in his hands, im good with finding the deals

Try weddingwire's budget tool. It lets you add money to certain categories, change the the amount the budget tool put in automatically and you can erase categories that don't apply to your wedding. Another bride on here recommended to me because I couldn't STAND the knot's budget tool. HTH!

I am using the weddingwire tool as well. So far I am a couple of hundred dollars below budget. Who knows how soon that will go out the window.

UGH!!! I'm over by more than that. IDK what to do but I feel your pain!!

I try to avoid talking about budget because FH and I have way different budgets in our head.

Weddings are crazy! I keep looking at my budget and seeing where I can cut corners and I really feel like I am at bare minimum --no extras (Except I am seriously holding out for a chocolate fountain).

And... budget is still over!

ahhh

Re: projected budget

According to my excel sheet, we are right on target with our budget..... unfortunately for FH, I know how to be a sneaky saver.. so our 'secret wedding fund' will bring us over a litttttttttle...... teeheehee... but he'll never know

Truthfully though (don't tell him...) we're only maybe a few thousand over.. I think..

This is basically what we're doing too...saves alot of stress!! But I spend a lot of time shopping around for deals!

I was able to add/delete categories on the knot too. I can try the weddingwire tool, but unless it comes with a $10,000 signing bonus, I'm screwed!

LMAO bc FH was just doing this yesterday and got me involved. Are you including tipping for everyone in there too? We are over too. The only thing we can do is really limit the flower budget so Im spending hrs trying to find different types of cheaper CP options! Fun times! LOL

I had more control over the weddingwire budget tool, which is why i liked it better....but I tend to not look at the budget frequently...because I know we'll be over, unless that magic signing bonus does appear..
