I was able to add/delete categories on the knot too. I can try the weddingwire tool, but unless it comes with a $10,000 signing bonus, I'm screwed!

Too funny. All kidding aside though---
I know this does not sound like sage advice, but truly, in the grand scheme of life, 4k is not so much money.
Now if you were 40k over budget, that's another story.

I am prepared to get a little silly here to display my point! Think of the years and YEARS of joyful memories you will have from your wedding. Let's say you enjoy the memories of your day for 60 years (My grandparents have been married for even more!). Divide that 4k over those 60 years... it's like you're only paying 66 dollars a year, or 18 cents a day for the extra joy of having exactly what you want! :) SOOOO the next time you're feeling guilty just remember-- it's just 18 cents a day!

LMAO bc FH was just doing this yesterday and got me involved. Are you including tipping for everyone in there too? We are over too. The only thing we can do is really limit the flower budget so Im spending hrs trying to find different types of cheaper CP options! Fun times! LOL

Oh sh*t, that doesn't include tips! Okay I am officially having heart palpitations!

For a look ahead to next year, when our budgets will no longer be 'projected', have you seen this thread?

I have seen it, if I go over budget 30,000 I will be living in a cardboard box!

Try weddingwire's budget tool. It lets you add money to certain categories, change the the amount the budget tool put in automatically and you can erase categories that don't apply to your wedding. Another bride on here recommended to me because I couldn't STAND the knot's budget tool. HTH!

This!

I read that whole thread last night, then had a slight anxiety attack took a swig of melatonin and went to bed

We wanted to stay under 30k, i think it's gonna be more like 35-40 which makes me quiver

We are thinking the same thing...well maybe more me than FH We would love to stay at under 30, but we haven't factored in the HM which I think will put us over...but, it might be worth it for the

But still, the numbers scare me

I could never spend that much since I can't even make that in a year.

I was trying to use the wedding wire budget tool and so far I'm not crazy about it. It won't redistribute funds under $1000? Why does everybody like it better than the Knot? I'm just wondering if its worth muddling through. Thanks ladies!

It won't?! I thought I had...you just select a category you want it to go to or apply it to the whole budget.

It would let me distribute under $1000 to a specific category, not to the whole budget, which is what I wanted
