I booked Proline for my wedding. I found them to be nice and decently priced. My friend used them for her wedding and really liked them. Her pics had come out great.

I booked them too! I've heard lots of great things about them... and hopefully I'll be able to post more after July.

I had an appointment with them and I was in and out in 30 minutes. I didnt feel welcomed. I didnt use them but years ago my sister used them and the pictures came out nice. I used Golden Moments in Mineola. Dan and Pat were great. Good Luck

Both my brother and cousin used proline...the pictures were wonderful....they photographer at my brother's wedding was a bit of a pain though...everyone was fed up with him by the end of the night...

THe photographer at my cousin's wedding was awesome though and I believe that the one from my brother's wedding no longer works there.

I found that they were more expensive than the other two places that I looked at.

Hope this helps!

I considered proline and some other studios that use freelance photogs. But who knows if the photographer they give you will still be around in a year or two? This is one reason I went with dan wagner. good luck

Re: proline

Proline did my cousin's wedding. I asked the photographer to take a picture of my fiancee and me with my cousin (THE BRIDE) and her husband. He told me he could NOT because he was done for the day. There was 30 minutes left in the party. I didn't tell my cousin, I didn't want to upset her. I will not be using them for my '09 wedding. Be careful when choosing a company that big. There is no way they can monitor all their guys and their work or attitude!

My sister used them a few years ago and we LOVED them. She had a guy (I can get the name if you need) do the posed shots and a woman do b&w photo journalistic shots. They felt like family by the end of the day. The pictures came out great.

I felt the same way. Everything was additional too, I felt they were very 'salesman' like. We went with Thomas Paul.

I'm using Proline--
before I booked with them, I wanted to make sure we were on the same page with them. First, I told them I'll book with them once it's stipulated that I got to meet with photographers and choose the photographer I wanted. Secondly, I asked them if they were able to take out many different shots and styles of photography...they said yes to both.

1. Photographer- I was able to meet with a couple of photographers. I met with Anthony and was happy with what I saw, and the way he put my mind to ease, so we booked with him.

2. Style of work- Proline was one of the few photogs that gave me a pretty decent deal on what I wanted, coupled with the fact that their magazine albums are abs. gorgeous!!! The final product and quality is great. My only concern with proline, is that I dont see much unique or angled photos. I would see a bridal party standing in the same generic 'bridal party line-up' pose, but just with different back grounds. I guess I'm more interested in fashion type photography and proline believes a little too much into the 'traditional poses' --I asked the guy i worked with there if they could do different styles and he reassured me that they could, so I really hope they dont dissapoint me. I think if Proline swayed away from doing mostly 'traditional' poses, they'd make a killer!

Re: proline

Amazing how many of us feel the same way. One more interesting story... I was engaged shortly after my cousin booked proline. She seemed to like Ed, her salesman. I called and I believe spoke to an owner, not sure, but Ed wasn't in. I received a quote over the phone and being my cousin raved about Ed, I made an appointment to meet with him.

Just two days later I met with Ed (nice guy) and he quoted me a price 300.00 less than what I was told on the phone. Innocent mistake? Didn't know, didn't care, it was in my favor. Then I asked my cousin what she paid, it was 500.00 less than the phone quote and 200.00 less than the price I was quoted in my sale. Another innocent mistake? Who knows, but it didn't make me feel comfortable. All the other places I went, had a price and pretty much stuck to it, maybe threw in some stuff, but kept to their pricing. Felt really shady.

I guess if you feel confident with them and want to book them...NEGOTIATE!!! They will lower their prices!

I was choosing between them and ****** and went with ****** even though they were more money. the guy i met with at proline gave me an attitude and made it seem that all my questions were a problem for him.

As far as different price quotes from them - prices can change over time and do depend on what exactly you're getting. Also, sometimes they give different discounts throughout the year. And they may give different offers based upon your reception hall.

I had requested a quote online back in December 2007 and received their current pricing. Then I met with the guy, and they mentioned they could take money off if I booked both photo and video, and they'd give me a discount cause they're a recommended vendor by my reception hall. After the meeting, I told them I'd think about it as I was still looking around. As I was doing my research into other places, I received a coupon from them that if I booked before the end of the year I could get $500 off my photo/video package. Finally when I decided to go with them, we then sat down to create my package. There were some things I didn't want, and some things I wanted to add to the package I chose. Then they applied discounts and really worked with me to give me a decent price for the package I was putting together.

Basically, my point is that I don't think it's so unusual for one person to receive one quote for a package, and another person to receive another quote for a similar package, considering there are many different factors that can come into play. It's sort of like when we might receive different quotes for reception halls. It really depends on what you're asking for.
