Property Tax Info

Is there a site where I could find out how much property tax is in a specific area? I'm looking for N.J.

Thanks!

I have found some boro websites posting this info. Where specifically are you looking?

Re: Property Tax Info

When we were house hunting, most listings had taxes listed.

Once we decided on the house we wanted to bid on, we called the town tax assessor to verify.

Not really sure where to look. We saw beautiful homes in Old bridge but the taxes were $11,000! I figured that we'd look into areas where the tax wasn't so high.

The taxes in Holmdel are relatively good, but you won't find a decent priced house there to save your life! (DH grew up there and his family still lives there)
It's in the same area as Old Bridge...you might take a look.

FYI - you have to be careful about Old Bridge...alot of the areas are questionable.

Also - taxes in Westfield aren't so bad (same problem as holmdel though)....
I love Westfield! I used to live there and my Mom is still there now....

Re: Property Tax Info

we used garden state multiple listing service website to find most of our info on list prices & taxes for different neighborhoods. we ended up buying in morris township (1 mile out of morristown) about a year ago. we have a great realtor in the area.

on this website, you can scope out various towns in the northern counties, put in your preferences, and when the listings come up, click on 'more details' under the photo for the details & tax info. they have homes, two-families, condos, and coops.
