proposal help for a friend.

A friend of mine wants to propose on april fools day ....you have to know him... and he wants to do something funny but still sweet.

Any ideas? If anyone can think of something great it is you guys!

Ok, here's an idea, kind of lame, but here goes! How about if he takes her out to dinner, or somewhere romantic. And he says 'I have a little something for you, that I've been wanting to give you for awhile' (or something to that effect) And he hands her a box that contains tissue paper and a silver frame engraved with the date April 1, 2006, and their names. And when she's sitting there totally confused, he can either 1) tell her to dig deeper in the box and let her find the ring or 2) Get down on one knee and whip the ring out of his pocket!!
I was confused when he proposed, because I thought I was getting a card w/ a gift cert for my b-day (which was the next day) and instead the card was empty and said 'Brace Yourself!!!' I was like 'What is going on?!'
HTH! and if I think of anything else, I'll post it! I'll also ask FH!
