PSA - Queens Girls & marriage License

Hi Ladies -

I just wanted to let you know how easy it wasy getting our license in Manhasset. The office is right on Plandome Rd, just a few blocks off Northern Blvd. We went late around 11am, were the only ones there, had everything finished in under 5 minutes. They also gave a cute newlywed gift bag.

FH and I live in Queens and this was a great alternative to going to the office on Queens Blvd by the courthouse.

Thank you so much for this info. We also live in Queens and I was dreading having to go to the office on Queens Blvd.

And I'm a total moron b/c I forgot to say CONGRATS on getting your license

I plan on going to Manhasset too and live in Bayside. Whenever I can I prefer to go east than west... I did hear it was an easy process there.

Congrats!!!

thanks Marcela and Chloe! It was weird for me because there are spaces for your current last name, your new last name, etc.

Chloe - I'm with you, I'll always head east rather than west. I go to the BBB in Manhasset rather than the one on Queens Blvd.

I agree girls...I always prefer going out east. It's so much calmer and there are actually parking spaces available

Donna, did you take your FH's name? I want to drop my middle name and then use Marcela Maiden name FH last name. Did they have an option for that?

I took his last name. But there's a whole section on the back of the license explaining the different options you can take for your name. Def. ask the ladies in the office, because I don't remember what info the form had about choosing your name.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip!! We are going on Monday, and FH didn't like the idea of going early. I thought we had to, but I think we could both deal with 11. Thanks again.

Hi donna. some quick questions. How much is a license when should we get it? A month or two months before the ceremony. ALso, what do you need to bring?
