Psychic Readings? **UPDATE**

Does anyone here believe in them? I'm pretty skeptical myself but here's the thing:

My aunt in CT has a lady she sees every once in awhile and one of the readings she had was pretty accurate. She found out my step-dad was sick months before my mom even told anyone in the family.

Fast forward today, my mom and grandma and a few of my aunts go to CT and my aunt who is there is having her reading done when they get there. My aunt told my mom that I was in her cards and that I was going to have a baby not too long after I get married! But I'm so not ready and FH and I wanted to wait a few years.

I don't know, I'm skeptical and FH is very cynical when it comes to these things. I just wanted to get your opinions and what you think about the whole 'psychic' thing.

Thank you for all of your opinions girls! It's nice to talk to people who aren't super cynical like FH!!
My mom called me with her readings and my grandmother's. The pregnancy/marraige thing came up for me in both of their readings!! My mom had a card with an airplane on it while the woman was still talking about FH and I and he's a pilot!! We're making excellent career choices and our relationship is great.
She also talked about my mom's illness and that she's gonna be fine. A few problems with her legs (she has MS) but she'll be fine.

I'm still on the fence but I think this lady is making me a believer

I really don't believe in them, i think its up to u wen u choose to have kids.

Wow that is so funny ... I have an almost identical situation.

My sister has been going to her psycic for like 7 years and this women is alway dead on. Well at my sisters last reading she told me sister that I was going to get pregnant on my honeymoon. When my sister told me I went nuts and told FH we were not having sex on my honeymoon ... He agreed LOL

i think they could be true but i also think that if you believe in it too much you can actually make or not make what they predict happen - like for instance, now its in the back of your minds that you are going to get pregnant soon after the wedding so you actually might make it happen OR you can change it from happening because now you know and you'll abstain or be extra careful - maybe if the psychic didnt tell you, you wouldnt have been so careful and you actually would have gotten pregnant....so i think it can go either way....i think some are real and others are con artists

I believe in them but not all...Fhs aunt is psychic and she is right on! Some times I have to tell her to stop talking because I don't always like to know what is going to happen.

i have mixed feelings... i definitely believe that its possible, and i'm intereseted in it, but i have had a bad experience personally! my ffil is really into it, so he went to this lady in NH and she was dead on... really spooky! i went to the same lady and she was like, i see you working in an office setting. i was like no, i'm a teacher. she's like, yeah i see you with older kids. haha no. i was teaching first grade at the time. she then tells me that the relationship i'm in was going to end in feb. i started crying hysterically and she obviously saw that i didn't like this, so she was like, well, it could be that its ending one part and you're moving on to another. haha nothing significant happened in feb, and a few years later, here we are engaged!
