Michi - coat check sounds like an AWESOME pt job!!! And aren't you pretty much sitting the whole time too? WONDERFUL! Thanks so much for that suggestion, I've been playing with the idea of working PT as well. Where would you look for this type of job, catering halls and places like that?

I used to know a girl who did coat check at Peter Luger's....she made about $200 per night!!!!

oh wow - maybe I'll really start looking into this now!!!!

Yeah...Sorry I forgot this job!!!!

oh 34th street.... was it a while ago? it used to be a great place to work, but the last 2 years it has gone WAY DOWN! they used to pay reallllly well, now they pay bare minimum. you used to leave at decent hours.... i never left before 2 am! (AND had to open the next day @ 6 or 7!) na dnow they just really treat their employees horribly. EVERYONES quitting now. I can only talk for the manhattan stores though. theyre all under new management,

wow, that is very different from the experience she had. She worked there when they first came to NY. She got paid very well (over $10/hr) she got promoted to assistant management within 6 months and she never was 'requried' to work overtime except for Black Friday, holidays & Inventory.

That's a shame that it went downhill....
