Pumpkin Place Card Holder Issue---Need Advice

Ok, so 3 people saw my pumkin place card holders and said that they were really pretty.

They then immediatley ripped the attached (by glue dots) place card to read it.


They all assumed that you take the card and leave the pumpkin. What hell did I go through all this trouble for


So my question is.....is there a poem or something to let the clueless know that it's their's to keep???????


I am afraid people will see that no one else is taking theirs and will leave them all behind.


You know I always said 'people will know what to do', but after my RSVPs came back with no names and other things that people were toally clueless about, I can't take any chances!!!

First of all: They are SO pretty!

I would have a family member or your bridal party spread the word. We had placecard holders we wanted the guests to take and my mom and sister just stood there and let people know they should take them

How about punching a hole through the place card and attaching it with some type of ribbon to the stem of the pumpkin. My friend did that and it looked very cute and everyone took the pumpkin.

Thanks...I glue dotted the card to the stems. So peopel should know that they go together!!!!

why would they rip them off? i would think that it's obvious that they go together....

now do i have to worry about people taking the cards and leaving my place card holders on the table???

I know another bride (could have been an old thread) was looking for nice place cards b/c at her engagement party she spent all this $$ on cute place card holders and no one took them, so it was a waist.

I think people are just clueless.

Yes, I used gourds because they are cheaper and last longer

Thanks! Im obsessed with rhyming everything for my wedding... so sad lol

Your RH will more than likely have someone at the table helping people find their names. At my friends wedding they actually just handed me my card with the silver holder and that made it abundantly clear.

Honestly, some people are going to leave them and you just have to deal with that. I think its worth while because they are a great idea, and they are stunning!
