Pumpkin Question

I really want to use mini pumpkins for my placecards. i found a site that has them for a GREAT price...well i think. how would you attach the actual place card to this pumpkin?

I'm going to do the same thing. I'm planning on going to a local farm to get the pumkins - that way I can pick ones with a longer stem and use a sharp blade to put a slit down the center of the stem and then put the place card in the slit.

If that is not an option, you could get green florist wire and curl it like a pumkin vine, sink one end in the pumpkin (either in the flesh near the stem or drill a tiny hole in the stem and sink it there). Cut out leaves to use as the place card and attach the leaf to the curled pumpkin vine. I would probably add a few extra curls that were not attached to the leaf, just for looks

You could also just write on the pumpkin with a silver or bronze sharpie
