My wedding is Nov 8...do you girls think its still appropriate to include pumpkin details? something simple like a mini pumpkin place card holder? or small glittered pumpkins on the table around the high centerpieces (of red roses) Its not Oct so im not to sure if its too late to use them....

i think pumpkins are more autumn than october. it might be cute to do other small gourds as well as small pumpkins, if you're doing real ones. any local pumpkin farm/stand has them, and they're usually very cheap. i used to work at brightwaters farms and we had a ton of different ones.

Re: pumpkins

we were going to use pumpkins for our welcome dinner centerpieces (the night before our wedding, so 11/9) ... we decided not to because we didn't want it to seem like they were the leftovers from someone's halloween party, or that we got them on sale because the holiday was over already.

jmho ... not that it should be about impressions or what others think, but that was our reasoning.

Absolutely! Pumpkins are often part of Thanksgiving and general fall decor.

FH really wants pumkin details at our wedding too. I wasnt too thrilled of the idea since they make me think of Halloween. However I found out that they grow white pumkins, so I am hoping my Florist can carve something pretty into one for the seating card or gift table.

My wedding is Sept. 19 and we are using pumpkin centerpieces. I see pumpkins as more of a fall/autumn item than strictly October/Halloween. Any time past Thanksgiving would probably be too late to use pumpkins so you are fine.

Re: pumpkins

It's definitely ok to do pumpkins! Pumpkins are a fall thing, not just a Halloween thing. When I mentioned to friends I'd be getting married in Nov, they all started saying how I should do something with pumpkin centerpieces, etc. I would say it's good to do pumpkins up until Thanksgiving weekend. After that, I'd say switch to a winter/Christmas theme.

Pumpkins are used all throughout the fall. If you think about it pumpkins are used in thanksgiving stuff.
