Punta Cana?

We want to go to Punta Cana, DR for our honeymoon but have some questions...

1) What's a good (great) all inclusive hotel
2) Any pricing?
3) is the DR gay friendly?

Hey! I LOVE LOVE LOVE DR, went last year for my birthday..

my parents go once a year and stay at the Paradisus...its beautiful I think 5 stars, not sure on pricing but they rant and rave every year.

I'm not too sure on whether or not they are gay friendly, but who cares...they should be if they aren't!
when you go you really have to stay in the resort area, anywhere outside the resort is unsafe, unless you go on a expedition with the hotel which is totally safe.

If you do decide to go, I totally recommend going on the dune buggy expedition, its a 5 hour trip to this dune buggy place and I GUARANTEE the most fun you will have ever, it was awesome and amazing!

Check out Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. I went 2 years ago and loved it. My parents are actually there now. If you choose them, I highly recommend upgrading to the Elegance Club (vip treatment). Have fun!

I'm looking into DR right now for our honeymoon. Here's some deals my travel agent from Liberty sent me (this is for 10 days)

Hard Rock $4900.00…georgeous, new, huge property, water a little rough…**not adult only**
Secrets Royal Beach $4700 gorgeous, new, beautiful beach, *Adult only*
Paradisus Palma Real $4650..georgeous, few years old, beautiful beach, *not adult only*
Excellence $3900…beautiful, 1 ½ hour from airport, good beach *adult only

Does anyone who went to Excellence Resorts in Punta Cana know who to book excursions through?

they told me: 'Unfortunately, since our company hasn’t an agreement to sell an activity in this destination we wouldn’t have a company name to suggest to you. I would suggest that you research your options on the internet for possible ideas for you. Or to wait until you arrive in the destination to make your activity plans. '
