Pushy David's Bridal - advice needed

So I just ordered my dress at David's - it's an Oleg and I love it. When I first started looking there I had one consultant who was really nice. The day I actually ordered the dress she wasn't there and I got this other girl who was REALLY pushy - kept trying to 'upsell' me on my veil and headpiece, etc. to things I didn't want by telling me that what I picked out wasn't a 'romantic enough look' - and I really didn't like her. Now she's leaving messages on my work and home phones telling me to hurry in with my BMs so they can get a discount. We are going to look for BM dresses there, among other places, but I really don't want to subject them to her! Am I obligated to because she was the one who helped me when I ordered my dress? She's really irritating the **** outta me!

I say no. Go back to the woman you liked. It's your wedding and you're the customer spending thousands of dollars so you should work with whoever you feel comfortable with.

who the hell is SHE to be telling YOU how to look for your wedding day??? YOU are the bride...and it's what YOU like and want. I had someone help me (not at David's) once who said 'I don't really care for that dress'...i was like...well that's nice..it's not your wedding..and it was a dress i really liked (not the one i got but still)...what are these people thinking??? Go with who makes you happy...it's your wedding...if she says anything tell her to learn some better customer service manners...if she's really a pain talk to the manager..good luck!!

I would call and find out when the original girl you worked with is going to be there and then make an appointment with her.
If the pushy lady is there and if she says something to you (which is pretty ballsy if she does) then simply tell her that the other girl was helping you first and she just happened to be off when you went to order your dress.

ETA.........I forgot what I was gonna say

Make an appointment with your original lady. Everytime I went to David's Bridal, I made sure to schedule an appointment with my lady because she was so nice and helpful and not pushy at all!

no way... you don't HAVE to work with anyone you don't want to over there. and for the record... you're BM's can order their dresses from there at any time and still receive the discount... there's no rush or time limit for that.

thanks everyone! i had been having such a good experience with David's up until this point (surprisingly!) that this was really bothering me. i'm going to call and find out when the first girl is working so i can work with her. BM dress shopping isn't as 'hands on' as gown shopping but i don't want my girls hating me afterwards by having to waste hours of their lives with that *****!

I don't think that you need to go the lady that helped you with your dress. I got my dress from David's Bridal months ago and when FH & I went to look before I went with the girls we were told she was no longer there. Another woman helped us and she couldn't have been nicer and she was extremely helpful. When I went back with the girls she got us what we wanted, gave us our space and each of my girls liked her. Let me know which David's Bridal you went to and if it is the same one I would be happy to give you my sales person's name.
