We were talking about this the other day, and I thought I'd start a thread for those of us who need a little gym / diet inspiration now and then. I thought we could post here when we need a little motivation (i.e. 'It's a coworker's birthday and she brought in cupcakes! I think I want to eat three of them! Help!'), or when we did something we're proud of that might inspire others ('I ran 2 miles on the treadmill today! Go me!', stuff like that).
I was thinking that maybe if I had somewhere to 'report back to,' I might be more likely to go to the gym, and maybe even to eat a little better.
So here, I'll start: I never have time to make my own lunch in the mornings, and so I always end up eating the junk in the cafeteria. I have either french fries or tater tots 5 days a week! So delicious, but so bad. So yesterday, I went to Target and bought a week's worth of Lean Cuisine meals - I figure I can just heat them up in the microwave and I'm good to go! I've never had a Lean Cuisine before. Today I'm trying the Fettucine Alfredo - I'll let you know how it is.

Our Thanksgiving day feast was today also. I was so proud of myself I only had some turkey and stuffing. No desserts for me.... I have to lose only .4 more pounds....thats right point four to hit my goal at WW although I would like to lost more than that goal. I have been at the same weight for the last 3 weeks and I hope to finally loose that without my dessert today
You can do it! The feeling when you hit that goal is the best! When do you weigh in?

I started weight watchers online and friday mornings are may way in day, because I always use all my flex points on the weekend, so right now is probably the lowest I way all week . I weighed my self this morning and ....(drum roll please)...3.6 pounds!!!! This was my first week back on WW since the summer, so I'm so excited.

I'm going to the gym tonight.. so lets post what we DID at the gym. I'll need the motivation to do the treadmill!
I've tried following WW. My mom has the book. But it does NOT work for me. I don't lose anything. Am I doing something wrong? I make sure I eat the 20 points.

When i started to do them again, for a couple of days last month, your tummy really hurts. So at first it is hard to do. I do the windsor pilates. Those are amazing.

Re: 'Put down that Twinkie!' - The Buff Brides Thread
I love Pilates! I used to do Pilates 3 or 4 times a week, for months, about 2 years ago and I never looked better. It makes you look so lean. I started doing Yoga around the same time, and they really complimented each other - I had such a strong core, and great balance and posture. I don't know why I got out of it, but it's so hard to go back. Now I'm really not capable of doing the exercises with as well control as before, and I feel like such an out of shape doofus, that I'm just not doing them at all.
If you're just starting Pilates, the Pilates for Dummies DVD is useful - maybe you could Netflix it and use it for a week? I also have Kathy Smith's Pilates for Abs and for Legs, and those tapes are great.

I'm so intrigued! That sounds like fun. I HATE cardio machines, they're always so boring and I can't bring myself to do any one for more than 20 minutes. Is this machine like an elliptical machine?
Wait, people have a million different name for ellipticals, I meant this:
That's the only one I can stand for half an hour at a time. And it burns mega calories.
Edited: I like that girl's hair, but... is she real? Doesn't she look like she's from the Sims or something?
