i know this has nothing to do w weddings...and i also haven't been posting on here as much lately...and it's midnight and not too many people are on now...but i'm so upset and i just needed to get it out.
we put one of our cats to sleep tonight. i posted about him a while ago...he had a bladder problem where he was unable to go to the bathroom. it was happening once a month and it cost so much every time to get him fixed...we were taking money out of our wedding savings to pay for him.
and tonight he was really bad and we just don't have the money anymore. so we had to have him put to sleep. and i am so upset. even more than i thought i would be. b/c he COULD have been saved if we could afford it...but we can't...so he had to die.
i'm so sad. i'm sorry, i know there are girls on here who are going through much worse things...but i am such a cat lover. and it's just so hard b/c it was my decision. but he was in so much pain. and i couldn't pay to make him better...

my heart goes out to you, i know how hard it is. I had a cat that got hit by a car and remember how hard it was.

This is such a sad day for everyone on here! Oh no, I'm a cat lover too, and I was a mess when we had to put my dog to sleep a few years ago. I'm so sorry for you

I am SO sorry!! I am a huge animal lover and know exactly what you are going through. I know it is really hard, but you shouldn't feel guilty, you did everything you could for him. It will get easier!!
And remember, he had a good life with owners who cared deeply about him. Hang in there!!

My cat is going through the same thing right now!! He has been in and out of hospitals for 3 weeks, is on tons of meds and my parents have already spent close to $4000 on him. It is terrible to see your pet in pain like that and they aren't able to tell you what's bothering them or if they are feeling better. We are at a loss of what to do for our cat anymore because nothing seems to be helping him. I'm so sorry to hear you had to put your cat to sleep, but you have to remember that it isn't fair for them to live in pain...so you did the right thing.

i just signed on for the first time today, came to check this post expecting a few posts w hugs or something...but you have no idea how good it feels to read all of your sweet responses.
i read every single one of them and i'm sitting here crying, but in a good way. i appreciate all of you so much, i can't believe how sad i've been about my cat all night and all day but i can't even tell you how happy it makes me to read all of your sympathetic (and many of them empathetic) responses. i am so glad to have met all of you girls, and i thank you so much for writing such nice responses, which helps me even more to let out my emotions and eventually feel better.

OMG jeannette, i'm so sorry I know exactly how you feel...one of my cats died in January and I was so distraught...after a while, they really feel like your children....I hope you feel better...
