Re: putting a hex on someone

No Clue, but my ex-boyfriend's girlfriend, now wife, tried to put a spell on me Via Email a few years back.

No, really.

It was very scary then - she was a HUGE psycho, but now it's really just laughable.

I actually have a book on putting spells on people..No..I havent used it, it wsa bought for me kind of as a joke froma witch store in New Hope, PA. I wsa down on my luck..just broken up with aboyfriend, my car was on its last leg, I was broke and my sis bought this book so i could do a spell for good luck..not that I would really do it, it was more of a joke..but that book had spells you could put on PEOPLE!!!! I can look through itif you want and share what its in it!!

Re: putting a hex on someone

depends on the 'hex'

Spent my whole life avoiding the 'evil eye' and twice was 'cured' of it.

My family is 'old-school' like that.. being of American Indian decent I guess. Mostly though the idea was NOT to cause harm, but to protect and nurture. That harm can only come to you if you invite it, at least in the spiritual sense.

If you believe someone has put a hex on you enough then you will behave and actually become hexed regardless if there really was no one hexing you to begin with.

Token superstitions are then impossible if you subscribe to that definition. Objects by general rule (always an exception) are harmless until someone uses them to cause harm. The same principal applies. If you gave me pearls, I'd be happy not sad and not allow such a 'hex' to occur. Black cat crossing my pass only symbolizes life in it's ironies. Not bad luck. etc...

Re: putting a hex on someone

It was always instilled in me by my Italian family that if you feel someone is wishing you harm or has given you the evil eye, you give the maluccia(spelt wrong, but Italian girls should know what I mean). Anyways, you stick out your pointer finger and your pinky, and the evil goes in one finger and out the other back at the person. That's why Italians will sometimes have the hand with the two fingers out, and the Italian horn is said to ward off evil.

I'm surprised alread by what people believe.....I think there is a sense and power of spirituality that can affect thinking and such and produce powerful feelings physically and emotionally but a hex...I dont think it happens and I think even thinking about doing it produces negative feelings better left avoided.....
