putting together list of photographers/videographers.....
So I am putting together a list of photographers/videographers to meet with.. and I have been looking at all of their sites... reading reviews.. and I hear soo many great things about so many.. im at a loss....
So I figured,,,, let me tell my 09 gals what is important to my FH and I..
1. ALOT OF PROOFS.... we want to have tons and tons of proofs to keep and to pick from 2. We do want some black and white pics 3. We want our package to include engagement pics 4. would like to book the photographer/videographer together in same package 5. We want a photographer who really follows the shot-sheet and gets the shots that WE REALLY REALLY WANT
Can you ladies give me your TOP CHOICES for these??? i am trying to make a list of photographers and get some ideas of prices/packages. Thanks

TP is great but he was way out of our budget, so i went with Vivid Photo they are right in Centereach, and they have both video/photo, they do all the stuff that you want, also they dont brand there photog which is great so you can use them,

I'm using Leli Photography. Gary is awesome!!! He is so cool and laid back. We did our E-pics already. They are in my album. We loved working with him!! We received over 350 pics just from our engagement session! Good luck with your planning!!
ETA: I'm also using Leli Photography for my video.

Imagine Studios..we fell in love with their work...the pictures were absolutely stunning and the videos made me cry!

Just something to think about.... b.c. a couple of photographers mentioned this to us....when a B&G gives him an exact shot list of pictures he spends alot of time trying to get those pictures and often misses out on other pictures that would have been great. Also it makes them more focused on the list than on you.

Gary Leli.....fantastic....really listens will do what ever you want him to do and he is very laid back. he lets you talk and isn't trying to sell you on anything!!! He is great...FM if you want more specific things like pricing and what my package consists of.

I agree...but Gary is not opposed to must take shots...but it is something to think about.

Lavendar Bridal Studio... you get to keep all your proofs and they do not have any logos on them anywhere!

We met with Ray from Timeless Treasures Cinematography last night. He was very laid back and has tons of video styles to choose from.

We're using them too. I looked at tons of peoples proofs on LIW and there were 2 photographers I fell in love with. One was based in NYC and was insanely expensive, so we ruled her out (although her pictures were amazing) and the other was Imagine Studios.
It's a husband/wife team and they do photo/video. I liked that she's the only photographer too, so I know my pictures will be taken by her (not by a random other photographer who works there). She was really nice and negotiated a great package with us.
I think 'MissingtheBgene' is the name of a bride who used Imagine?
We didn't do e-pix because we live out of state and it would have been too hard to schedule. Instead, a friend of mine out here (amateur photographer) took amazing pictures for us.
