Q about messing with the pill to postpone aunt flo...
I meant to call my gyno today but forgot. Here's my Q:
If I keep taking the pill as scheduled, I will get aunt flo in the middle of our honeymoon. I want to push her back one week. Can I do this by waiting one week before starting my next active pack, or do I need to buy an extra pack and take 4 weeks of active pills instead of the usual 3?
(in short, should i start the new pack tonight?)
anyone ever do either one? i dont want to mess with things too close to the wedding in case there are side effects. if i was going to delay the new pack by a week, this would be a great week to do it.
Anyone?

my dr. told me to jump on the next pack so i plan on skipping a month more time to play

I am assuming you have the pack that has 21 active pills and 7 'reminder' pills. What you do is, the month of the wedding, finish your 21 pills then go on straight to the next pack the very next day (Skip ur 7 fake pills).
That will make you skip Aunt Flow altogether.

i dont want to try to skip AF altogether the week of my honeymoon because I've heard it makes some people moody, bloated or causes spotting. I'd rather do anything out of the ordinary ahead of time just in case any of those would happen to me.

just to be sure ask your dr. I plan on skipping the sugar pills and go straight to the next pack I want no accidents around the wedding or hm

yeah i meant to call my doctor today but they have limited sunday hours and i forgot about it. i dont know if i should take the new pill tonight or wait and talk to him tomorrow.
id rather just shift which week i'm due to get my period ahead of time so i dont have to worry about potential side effects on my honeymoon like spotting or cramps

just skip the placebo pills. read the little instruction booklet that comes with your pills, it can usually tell you more. obvs check with the dr. too if you're not positive

That was going to happen to me also with the honeymoon, so I skipped the last week 2 months ago... and then silly me... I realized that I have to do it again... because then I would've had aunt flo on my wedding day! So now this month I'm doing it again and skipping the last week so that i have aunt flo the week before my wedding. As far as skipping a whole week before starting your next pack, I don't recommend that... it could throw everything off as far as your cycle, the only way to really do it is to skip the inactive week and start the next pack of pills. You might have to do what I did and do the two months of skipping if you want to do it in advanced.

i guess i might just take 5 weeks in a row then... you skipped a week, so it moved it up. i'll take an extra week and then push it back.

I'm pretty sure you don't take the last week of inactive and start a whole new pack but talk to your doc.

First, you have a few months before the wedding, so don't skip this particular week/pack until you talk to your dr. You can always do this next pack.
Second, this only works correctly if you take monophasic pills. If you take triphasic pils it will not go as smoothly so ask your dr. first.
