Q - How long do I need to boil a hard boiled egg for?
FH needs to boil eggs for out little get together with 1 of the FG's.He just asked how to boil an egg... so after the break down of laughter... I realized I don't know how long they have to be boiled for either.
Anyone know this???

for at least six minutes after the water boils. I however just keep it in for liek 10 lol I like mine DONE!

Um some people say until there is a little crack in the shell but generally about 10 minutes, maybe a little less. Have fun! Just make sure there is enough water to cover it and turn the egg a little bit to make sure all sides get done

Hahahaha! Thank you sooooo much!I knew it all has to do with time.. but I don't know how much time!
We aren't eating them though.. we are coloring them with 1 of the FG's.

I was always told to put them in cold water, bring it up to a boil, then take it off the heat (cover it) and let it sit 20 minutes.

I do the cold water after, bc all water that you boil no matter what it is its cold water you use first. But after you take it out of the boiling water you put it under cold water fast.

I boil the water then leave it in for 13 min. Comes out perfect!

i've always let the water come to a boil with the eggs in it, then turn down the heat and cook for about 25 minutes...but i think u can do it any of the ways the others have said as well.Welcome New Vendors
