i freakin hate watching wedding shows and seeing how these brides treat the wedding party family and friends!!!

I am so not a my day, my way kind of bride. I am open to people's ideas and opinions. And while I do consider myself to be a little biotchy, I would never treat people like that!!

I am kind of in between. I don't plan to treat anyone like garbage (like bridezillas), but I do plan to have things done my way. I've already informed people that if anyone pi$$es me off that day, they're going home! And I don't care who that is.....actually it's specified towards my parents to make sure they can be civil with each other that day

I think it would depend on the situation. If everyone around me were being biotches (and I mean like BM-zilla's) then yea I would pull the 'my day, my way' card....
I really don't see it happening though. Everyone who will be with me is going to want to make it 'My day' so I don't really think it will even be an issue.

I have seen these shows also and think some of the brides are absolutely insane and have NO idea how their FH's even consider marrying them. I don't think I am like that at all and don't expect to be the day of either, which is why I NEED a DOC so I can maintain my sanity!!!!! I am pretty easy going, aside from the fact that it takes me 50 posts and 25 days to make a decision on stupid crap....

I am that way, but I don't do it to the extent that you see on television shows. I would never treat FH or my friends/family disrespectfully (not on purpose...) but I absolutely feel this way!

im a pretty laid back person... so i dont expect to act like that... but in all honesty, i did spend a lot of blood sweat and tears over a year making the day happen so if i do act like that, i really cant blame myself! LOL

I actually think this is a great ques!!! No, I am def not that kind of bride! I know what I want and I try hard to make it happen that way but sometimes we dont always get what we want & we have to live w/it.

i only just started to become a 'my day, my way' bride. but only with a few issues. as far as i am concerned the wedding is mine & FHs day. we have waited a long time for this & i want everything to be perfect just as we envisioned it.
in order to end the bridesmaid dress madness i went in with a my day, my way mentality. when i was being nice no one was cooperating. i also used a my day, my way comment when looking for my moms dress. because of the above mentioned bridesmaid dress madness i had to settle for my girls wearing black dress. (yes i settled on this). so when it came to my moms dress, my sister was being very insistent on her wearing black. i can deal with the bridesmaids wearing black because i feel its classy but my mom wearing black was a big no no.

i dont think so. i have been trying to think of others and, honestly, i am trying not to expect much. i dont think my wedding should be the center of everyone focus for the next 6 months.
but there are something i dont really want to budge on - for example..once i pick the place to order BM dresses, i just think everyone should order from there. make my life easier.
i am more pushy with my mom (cuz i can, teehee), like telling her what dresses to try on and what shoes to look into and how to do her hair. of course, she is also my mom, so she doesnt really have to listen to me either. ahhh, the mother-daughter bond we bicker, but its all good. i think
also, FH better get a manicure! lol

Nope, not at all. Even if I wanted to be that person I wouldn't be good at it lol, it's not in my nature.
The only thing that I am with a little bit is my mom. Generally if we disagree about something i'll sometimes give in just to keep the peace. Not with the wedding though. If we disagree about something (flowers, DOJ, anything) I typically say, 'well.. when you get married again you can have it that way'.

I am in no way like that. I am having the wedding not just for myself, or just for FH, but for everyone to share in our happiness. If things dont go perfect, well it happens. I just want my vendors to do what they are paid to do. When it came to BM dresses, I let them pick out whatever they want, same with shoes. Its not all about me.. its about FH and my union as man and wife.

I am never in the spot light, and always let others take precedence. so on my wedding, I want to be the QUEEN (that sounds so bridezilla-ish lol). but I dont see anyone being a problem, this is the beauty of having no BP and paying for most of the wedding by ourselves the only person I see some annoyance from, is my mom. she is very pushy, and I love her for it. but she will never stand for the 'my day, my way' BS, so I guess it will be her way cause 'its always the best way'
