Yucky, it's Monday. Where did my weekend go?

I remember when we first started wedding planning. I had this ridiculous low budget in my head (I'm the frugal one in the family). Of course, once I started to realize how expensive things were, I was forced to change my thinking (still haggled my butt off!) But since the beginning was this one thing I had to have. No matter the cost or unpracticality of it.
And of course FH laughed at me, thought it was silly. Said no one gonna use it.
So my question of the day is.

WHAT'S THE ONE THING YOU HAD TO HAVE!??
Me... Photo booth! fell in love with idea the first time I saw it!
I blame LIWeddings. I didnt know they existed or were that much fun until the wedding of the year -- now all my friends are excited, planning some NC-17 ideas!

The number one thing I wanted was an old mansion venue. I don't know what I would have done if we couldn't do it budget wise! Photobooth is a close second!

The one thing I had to have was a musician at our ceremony. They are more expensive than I had anticipated, but I found a great, affordable harpist and am excited to be having a harpist play for our ceremony.

This might sound silly, but we had to have the lounge furniture and martini bar.

FH thinks he MUST MUST MUST have the outdoor cocktail hour. He MUST be nuts.

A venue on the water with one wedding at a time and the photographer that I WANTED not the one that just fit into my budget.

For me it was definitely a band. We are having a formal Saturday night black tie affair and knew a DJ would not make me happy no matter how much more I had to spend to get the band of my choice.

I had to get married in church. It was really important to me. This was hard because I'm from out of town and not many churches opened their doors to FH and I. Honestly, I didn't have my heart set on anything else, it just fell into place very nicely.

I'd say my wedding is the thing I had to have...if it was up to my FH we would have done something very small and bought a house ...

Not sure if we are going to be able to pull this off, but I am dreaming of walking down the aisle to a tenor signing Nesum Dorma. Not sure if our church will allow it yet, but its my perfect vision.
