We went on our first date a few days after we met. He was going to come in to the city for dinner since I worked there, so I decided to pick the place. We just recently had our office holiday party there and I loved it. It was really cute with candles on the tables and romantic. So we get there and they didn't have huge dinner portions, only like finger foods, appetizers and little sandwiches. Needless to say, I found out how FH loves to eat and this kind of food was not going to get him full. We ended up getting a bunch of different appetizers and talked for hours. I remember thinking, wow, this guy is really great, he had a great sense of humor about the small portioned food and was really funny. He ended up driving back home to Long Island and I ended up taking the train back to Brooklyn. We still joke about him letting me take the train back home at 10:00 or 11:00 at night by myself and how I took him to a restaurant with food made for kids. And here we are 3.5 years later living together and always going out to places with 'grown up food', lol.

I could never forget the first date. It was actually really cute. I had originally planned to go out with him on a thursday or something and had to cancel. we didnt go out for a week after. He picked me up at my house and was interrogated and conned into picking my younger brother up from a friends house at midnight(i think it was my moms plan). He took me to ruby tuesdays we both got burgers and then we spent the rest of the night just talking and getting to know eachother. Then when he dropped me off at home, he gave me the sweetest good night kiss... and thats how we came to be together. I love remembering this stuff,

I met FH a little over 4 years ago. He was my realtor and sold me the apt we live in now. When I first met him I hated him and thought he was arrogant and a horrible realtor...My Mom and I gave him a nick name 'The Negative Realtor' he showed me the worst co-ops and would comment how bad they were when showing them. Well the breaking point in me no longer hating him happened at an co-op development built for WWII veterans and as you can imagine the apts are old and a lot of the widows are dying off..terrible but true. I wanted to see this one apt where an elderly women lived and he warned me in advance that she was in a hospital bed, nurse..Not a good situation. I agreed to see the apt but under the condition if the women was home in her hospital bed I was not entering the bedroom.. Well we are in the apt and it's old, needs a lot of work and the nurses had just changed shifts. FH and I are looking at the 2nd bedroom and now it was time to see the MB, I refused and FH insisted so now we are bickering that I am going, I am refusing so I make him go first. Well all of sudden I hear OY VEY!!!! and I look to my right and this women in laying in her bed with her night gown up around her waist in a diaper. The nurse must have changed her and didn't fix her night gown or pull the sheet down. Anyway FH is standing in this poor women's room pointing out molding and light fixtures. I ran out of the room doubled over in the living hysterical laughing with tears. He walks in and continues to point out closets and asks if I would like to see the kitchen again.. I pull myself together and he walks into the kitchen behind me and breaks down...WHO THE HELL LIKES THIS SH$T!!!! DOESN'T ANYONE UPDATE ANYTHING IN THIS DEVELOPMENT. Now I am trying to calm him down. We walk out he goes straight to his car and drives away, didn't say goodbye, nothing. I felt bad because to be honest it was a little traumatic and I called him later that evening and after that day we became friends. After I signed contracts we started hanging out, meeting up at Happy Hour and one night we went to dinner. From that point on we have been together. I will tell you, I never thought we would still be together all I was hoped for is that we made it to my closing so it wouldn't be awkward at the closing table.

FH and I were close friends long before we ever considered dating. (I find out later he was interested all along but his friend had called 'dibs' on me- like calling shotgun or the last slice of pizza.) My best friend (and MOH) was graduatiing from college in New Paltz, NY and I wanted to go but didn't have a ride. FH offered to drive me up there even though he wasn't close with my friend at all. At the party the night before her graduation, he asked me out and we've been together since!
