We all wouldn't be here planning our weddings with our wonderful FH's if we never had our first dates......
For today's QOTD, do you remember your first 'date' with FH? Was it romantic? Was it a complete disaster? Was it the moment you knew 'he was the one'?
FH and I had our first date almost 6 years ago and I must say I remember it like it was yesterday! We met through mutual friends; my best friend was dating his and a huge group of us went out one night to a club in Astoria and that's when we met and he asked for my phone number. After talking on the phone a lot and being really nervous, I finally took him up on his offer to go out on a 'date'. He picked me up with red roses (he learned after that that I HATE red roses) and he took me to Lundy's Restaurant in Brooklyn and we ate lobster together! It was so cute because the whole car ride there we were both so nervous and quiet!! The dinner itself wasn't too romantic, as I didn't know how to eat Lobster and I had made a mess everywhere! After that, we went for a walk by the water (in Sheepshead Bay) and we talked for hours!! After that, he drove me back home and we sat in front of my house talking for hours........
That was the beginning of us!

Our first date was the best one I had ever been on. I didn't know he was the one that night but I knew it was going to progress. He took me to this bar/lounge in Forest Hills called Networks and we sat downstairs on a couch and had hummus (it was Lent so we couldn't eat meat because it was Friday) and I was ordering the girliest drinks, some flavored martini and to impress me he ordered the same girlie drink lol we had the BEST conversation the whole time. No lulls anywhere and we had so much in common (even though we're both very different). Then after we left the bar we were walking around the block to an Italian restaurant to have cappuccino and he just turned around and kissed me and then kept walking. It was so cute! Then at desert he was saying 'well, I'm in 2 wedding this summer and I'll be invited with a guest and I don't have anyone to bring' and I was like 'well I'm also in a wedding in October and I don't have a guest to bring either' lol And from then on that was it.

FH & I went to Dave & Busters for our first date....def not romantic but it was in the shopping plaza where I was working so it was an easy commute for me. We had dinner, a few drinks & then went to play some games. I talked my talk about whipping him in air hockey....yeah he destroyed me!!! Eventually we settled down to watch the Yankee game....after a while he was like are you ready to go? And I was SUPER bummed b/c I thought everything was going well and I felt it was too early to end the date. So we went out to the parking lot & he walked me to my car. The goodbye was a little weird so I decided to take control over the situation (which is SO not in my personality) and I kissed him. And thats about it, we have been together since then. I never asked him why he wanted to end the date so early????? I'm def going to ask him tonight!!!

our first 'dinner' date: FH and I went to a restaurant, where his mom was our waitress!!! talk about awkward lol

It's pretty sad but I don't remember our first date much! lol. I know we ate at some seafood place in Port Jeff but that's honestly all I remember. I remember our 2nd date well because we went to The Cheesecake Factory and then we saw 'Night At The Museum' and we were just laughing so hard throughout the whole movie..lol.
