Through this whole crazy wedding process, have you and FH gotten closer? Fight more often? What is the one thing you learned about yourself through this planning process??
FH and I have actually gotten a lot closer, which I thought would have been opposite. I saw my friends fighting ALL the time with the fiances (now husbands) but we have actually learned that we have to work together and anything can be done. When he sees a vendor is unresponsive or I am too nervous to ask about something, he takes it into his own hands and deals with it, so he doesn't have to deal with me instead!!
I have learned that I don't have as much patience as I thought I did!!!!! I am TRYING to learn to not stress too much over vendors, colors, etc.....everything will come together and there is no need to give myself a heartattack before the big day! Can't wait until we can look back at this planning process and smile and laugh when it is all over!

I wouldn't say we've gotten closer or even fight anymore. I don't feel it's changed much between us. But I would say that there was one discussion we had which made me realize that FH really doesn't care about the wedding, he just wants to marry me. And that was an awesome feeling.
As for what I've learned about myself........I guess I've learned that I love this stuff and may potentially look into a career change when it's all over. Oh and that I don't have to be a major biatch to get what I want......which is a great thing.

We fight about the wedding...just over money. Fh just thinks its so stupid to spend all this on one day....but he knows it makes me happy so he just goes along with it.

FH and i have gotten WORLDS closer....like closer than i could have ever imagined we could get. It's quite amazing actually and we hardly fight....at leats not about any of the stupid, trivial things we used to think were important and necessary to fight about, u kno?
ive learned during the wedding planning months that i actually DO have time management skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! something i never thought i'd figure out!! LOL
now I just have to see if i can take this newly acquired skill of time management and apply it to school this semester!! it will be the true test

I think we've gotten closer but I think that is mostly due to the fact that he finally moved here from Ohio and we've been living together since
Most of the wedding stuff I've done myself...in fact since he's been here we haven't done anything wedding related besides flowers...I need to change that

We've definitely bonded more throughout the planning process...but I think it has more to do with planning our future together rather than planning the actual wedding. We had one argument, early on, about wedding stuff and agreed that if it can't be enjoyable, then City Hall it is.
We stepped back from the wedding planning for awhile and when we returned to it, we approached it how we should have in the beginning - we're really just planning a big party. We're both enjoying the planning process now - of course, I'm into it more than he is, but he enjoys the tasks he's decided to focus on...which is the cake (flavor and design) and honeymoon brainstorming.
The one thing I learned about myself through this process is that I CAN still throw an environmentally-friendly, vegetarian affair and have it be damn near classy at a catering hall...I was met with some roadblocks early on from some halls who didn't 'get' the vision and thought it couldn't be done. Or at least, not done in a hall, and thought that maybe we'd have to do it in a vegetarian restaurant. As soon as I spoke with the chef at Swan Club over the phone, I was pretty much sold...as long as the place was nice, I trusted that he knew EXACTLY what we were looking for in the food.

We have gotten SO much closer with planning the wedding. I absolutely love planning, and surprisingly FH gets really into it and wants to be included in everything. We always have something to talk about, to discuss, and to compromise about. It's been so much fun for us, despite our constantly decreasing bank account.

We have gotten closer, but that's because we moved in together, not because of the planning. FH is not involved in the planning at all and at times we fight about it because he doesn't realize how much vendors are and thinks its craziness. I can't wait for the wedding to finally get here

We have been together so long nothing has really changed. Maybe because we are not doing the traditional type wedding with the RH & Limos & what have you. Maybe it's because FH is really hands off........leaving everything up to me. No problem there, I'd rather have my best friend & my Mom with me shopping and planning than have FH coming along disinterested. Don't get me wrong, he's just as excitied as I am with the whole wedding thing ( it was his idea to get hitched in the first place) he's just not into shopping & planing & all that goes along with it. Have we changed? No, have we grown closer because of it? I don't think so. Do we fight......sure, everyone does. We don't fight about the wedding.............ever. It's like we having a party. We just happen to be getting married at the party.

ehh..we're about the same. we both cant wait til the wedding is over. he'll probably say that since planning the wedding, we've drifted apart..cuz im always busy with wedding vendors and THIS WEBSITE. but we're def the same.. he likes this site cuz i catch him reading the posts when im on my laptop next to him. sometimes i cver the screen with my hands to show him 'gotcha!!!!!'
we just want our lives back. we look at this wedding as a school play lol

i dont think a whole lot has changed for us...we dont fight more and i am not sure its made us closer...i mean we do talk more openly now about having kids and our future together etc.

I would say our relationship is the same. FH was very much involved in booking with the major vendors and a little more picky than me. One vendor called FH groomzilla...LOL! I think we have had two fights one about the cost of a vendor and the other was about him forgetting to ask his Mother for her guest list. We are now just enjoying our engagement.

I don't think much has changed between us except we're busier. FH goes to school at night and often times I'm at my mom's house working on DIY stuff so we don't get as many lazy evenings together as we used to. If anything, we appreciate our time together more though.
