if DH/FH had a tattoo of an ex ( name..something between the 2 of themor anything reminding him of her) would you make him cover it or get it removed?
i dont know what i would do..i would hope he would do it on his own

We got matching tattoos years ago. We said if we ever broke up it would be fine because it's not a name. Now if it was a name of an ex, then he should have had it covered when they broke up. But anything else I don't care. He got it because he liked it.
ETS: If he got something because it was for her, then I hope he would have it covered before we got together.

I have a tatoo on my shoulder with my ex husbands name in it ...its staying and DH has known that from day one..hes an ex for a reason however he is the father of my children and they know its there and Im afraid removing/covering would cause insecurities for them.

hmmm....if it was a name id probably get sick of looking at it - it would probably really irk me....luckily FH doesnt have anything like that! phew!

FH doesn't have an ex's name tattoo, but if he did... it would totally be removed or covered up.

a friend of mine got her first initial, her ex's first initial and a ~ on each side tattooed on her wedding ring finger. her ex got the same. i'm pretty sure they were dating less than a year when they got it done.
as you can tell.... they have since broken up. she's been dating a new guy for almost a year, and hasn't removed it yet although she plans to eventually.

I probably wouldn't insist on it being removed but I would hope that he would do so on his own. Luckily for me, even though FH has tatoos he does not have any with names or symbolic of an ex.
