Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

Original post by Butterfly123

How many of you are planning on getting plastic surgery in the future? I think Ill probably end up nipping and tucking but only when its really really necessary. Im not sure about the whole botox thing. I want to be able to show emotion. But who knows by that time they'll hopefully come out with something a little more natural looking. How do you girls feel about plastic surgery? And will you do it?

and i would def have my wrinkles lasered, injected, whatever the case may be - i already have some wrinkles at age 23 - im sure ill be pretty wrinkled by 30 and that is NOT cool

i dont think there is anything wrong with wanting to look your best - as long as it doesnt become obsessive or get out of control

I'd say go for it if any of you feel you it would make you happy. Personally it is just not for me. I need to lose a lot of weight but I am who I am as popeye would say

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

Well after seeing my mom get a reduction/lift and a tummy tuck! I would def. do it. It made her so happy to be able to wear a normal shirt. Her chest was too big for her petite body, and she has rods in her back so it helped ease her back pain. I cheered her on to get it done. I havent seen my mom this happy since i was little. She is my hot mamma! She also goes to the gym and has dropped over 50 lbs. So after Iam done having children I will get a lift or reduction and tummy tuck if i need it. And if they have something for stretch marks i would remove them as well.

i tihnk a lot of people go overboard with their faces and end up looking worse - you have to find a good doctor who will be honest and will tell you that you don't need to do things - not a doctor who wants you to spend more $$ and tells you should do x,y and z.....its crazy that these doctors do this to people - i mean some people WANT to look like that but im sure there are other people that the doctor convinced to do more work.....i know people who get botox or restalyne? and you cant even tell at all - its because they dont eliminate every single wrinkle from their face - just soften the deep ones - and they can still make expressions

funny thing is that all these women are millionaires so they do go to the best surgeons...The salon is on lexington and celebs go there, and rich powerful ppl. So they have the money to go to the best.
I have connections there so i dont get charged full price so thats why i go hahahah

My FH isn't a fan of plastic surgery at all, and I probably wouldn't do it on my own either...only under extreme circumstances

If it made me feel better and more secure about my appearance I'd consider it, but I'm pretty afraid of surgery, so fear might win!

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

My MOH is two weeks post OP tomorrow for abdominoplasty and lipo. I took her to all her pre-op, op and post op care. I'll tell you now its not for the faint of heart. She's had two kids both C-sections and had lost a lot of weight and had all the excess skin.

She's a tough cookie but says she would never do it again (contemplated a boob job as well). She said its the drain mechanism that freaks her out the most. She has the 2 foot long tube and drain sticking out of her since her surgery.

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

Unless medical necessary, I don't want more surgery. I seem to be allergic to everything and have strong adverse reactions to medicines. I have 2 kids already and my stomach isn't that bad. You will have stretch marks, but I don't feel I need surgery because of it. Implants scare me and I don't think I nec. need them. I am not large, by far, but not terrible either. Most people say I look younger than my age. I actually was proofed in AC last year and I am quite a bit over the 21 mark. I don't feel that I look young, but I hear it time and time again. Maybe that is why I don't feel I need plastic surgery. I have had reconstructive jaw surgery in '03 and that was brutal. I was wired for 6 weeks and I have had other surgeries and medical procedures over the last 15 years that I don't want unneccessary things done to me.

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

I was going to get my nose done in high school but my mom at the last minute said she could afford it . I have a slight bump , but nothing too bad ( people think I am crazy ) , and at this stage of my life i would choose a breast lift . they aren't saggy yet, but gravity is not kind to big boobed girls and i have some excess skin ( i was a 38 double D in HS , now a 36 C ) . In fact I have to get some boob tape for this dress I have to wear this weekend ( i cant wear a bra ) and i hope i can find

when I get older , and wrinked i will get botox. My mom gets it , and she still has facial expressions, she doesn't go overboard

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

I have had 5 (medically necessary) surgeries and I am only 22! I still want to get laser eye surgery, and after kids, like everyone else said, I will definately have my boobs and belly fixed- but only when I am ABSOLUTELY sure that I am done.

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

my brother in law is a plastic surgeon so i'm a little more comfortable with the procedures being done...not that he would do it bc that would be weird...but i'd consider the following:

Lipo
Blepharoplasty (corrects eyelids...i have very small eyes, so i'm sure by the time i'm 50 they will just be shut altogether)
Booby Lift (after kids!)

I don't see anything wrong with it if it's done right....some of these doctors are crazy...i worked with a lot of the ones on LI...big shots.....they go way too overboard.

The less-known (media wise) seem to be much better at what they do. The ones that are all over the place (tv, radio, magazines, etc) that are trying too hard usually have patients that are a mess...jmo

Re: Q of the Day: Plastic Surgery?

right now i would love a boob job, just alittle bigger, but in the future it depends, on how well having kids agrees with me or not

in the mean time good boobs are too much money so i will have to live with what i got

I consider eye laser/lasik surgery to be cosmetic and I'm absolutely doing this after the wedding!
