6th runs from the village up to the park, so something could have happened somewhere, ya never know...

no it could be on 49th street nothing happened, but 6th avenue is real big and i doubt q104.3 would say this on air if it wasn't true

MyFoxNY.com -- A man has been burned in a chemical explosion in Midtown.

The explosion happened at the Fox News building at 1211 Sixth Avenue.

About 700 people have been evacuated from the building.

The explosion has not interrupted the cable news channel's broadcast.

The incident at 1211 Sixth Avenue left one person injured. Three floors below the site were evacuated. It was unclear what type of chemical was involved.
