I know a lot of us are having issues with wedding planning. So I figured I'd ask this question....
Is there something that you and FH cannot agree on with the wedding?
For me, it's the seating cards. I feel this is really one of the only things that FH and I can express ourselves in. So I wanted to do something very creative.
FH and I love the Simpsons so I figured that each table would be a 'landmark' in Springfield. The photo would be 5x7, not overshadowing the CPs.
And when people got their card, it would say, 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Table #5, Moe's Tavern'
And on the table would be a little picture of it.
I thought FH was ok with this, but apparently, he's not. He wants everything to be traditional, which is fine, but I want to have a little piece of us in the wedding.
I think his mother had something to do with this......

There honestly isnt anything we haven't agreed on. The only thing is I keep joking about coming out to Hammer time b/c his last name is hamerman but he refuses! heheeh i think its funny!

What if you met in the middle...nix the pictures of the place, but use the Simpson's font to write out the name of each place in lieu of table numbers??

I LOOOOOOVE that idea (we are actually planning to do the same thing only with cruise ships....so each table is a different one...and no, nobody will be sitting at the Titanic...).
I fell in love with on RH, he hated it, so we kept looking and both fell in love with a different one. That was the closest to a disagreement, but I'd really barely even call it that so much as a sign we needed to keep looking (and now we're both THRILLED with our choice).

so far, no major disagreements yet. BUT I am sure we will have something. I am trying not to worry too much about the smaller details, and as for him, as long as its within our budget he is pretty flexible with everything.

We are having some issues w/ our first dance song - I want something that has history, something I know a couple dance to 60 years ago and is still married and happy today.
But for someone who was a music major he has noooo interest in anything that isn't current for some reason - he has like zero respect for it.
That's what our issue is - so we decided to take a break from picking the song and wait a while till we get some more things squared away lol.

Yes thankfully no major disagreements so far, but I feel some coming!!!! lol...Sometimes he surprises me with the fact that he actually has an opinion on things I thought he wouldn't care about, like opposing doing half tall half short centerpieces (He wants all tall, who knew???), so I can see some arguments brewing!

I don't think FH wants to have a full mass, but I would like to have one. We haven't argued about it yet though... Just anticipating!

He wanted our church to only be the nuptials, I want a full mass. He doesn't understand the chair covers, and I don't care. haha.
He hasn't actually argued me on any of this, I think he realizes that all these little things mean a lot more to me than to him. He basically is just happy to show up that day. I like to plan events, so he lets me have it!

nothing major yet....the only idea he wasn't really a fan of was where to take our e-pix...I wanted to do them on the beach bc that's where we got engaged and we'll have wintery pix bc we're getting married in Dec, so I thought it would be nice to have summer pix for our e-pix. He said we're not beach people and it doesn't fit our personalities - which, if I admit it, he's right...so we're looking into something else!

nothing has really come up yet. We did have a tiny snafu when it came to favors but that was resolved quickly and we both agree on something. Other than that, nothing. I actually don't even forsee us disagreeing on much - we pretty much want the same things for the wedding.

Thatis a very cute idea... im sorry he is not meeting you half way ont he idea :( too funny about his mom! lol For our engagement party i am having at each table a pic of me and him at that age so each table watches us grow up together. Or you can always do causal pictures of the both of you holding a number for the table.
I always feel like its hard to find a name rather then a number at a table. Unless they are in alaphabetical order. But i always loved the named tables just always have a hard time finding them :(

We haven't hit any major road blocks yet, but we haven't really done anything except the church, RH, and limos. All of those we were fine with.
I am sure that when we start picking out vendors we will have some disagreements.

no major hiccups yet. he says he doesn't really want to be involved in making the 'little' decisions (decorations, favors, etc), but he is helping me pic vendors. the only thing that may turn into an issue is budget for photo/video. when i told him how much i wanted to spend on photo he nearly fell over lol. but then i told him i won't do floral centerpieces to cut down in that area. he rolled his eyes but i think he's ok with it now.

The photographer. He wanted to use a friend of the best man, I wanted to go look around, because I was getting great offers from other photographers. It aggrivated me that he basically signed this guy after one meeting...and now he's calling me and not FH for money! Really!?! I gave the $100 deposit to save my date! And he's telling me that other people are calling for that date...so what exactly did I give him $100 for?!

Nothing yet. The only thing I know he is not a fan of is doing the e-pics. But neither am I, so we actually do agree on that. We both recognize why we should do them, but neither of us wants to. So we're united in our misery on that.

The only thing that we really disagree on is music. I really want a band at the wedding but he doesn't think we should spend the money on one and should have a dj instead. I had convinced him to want a band until he heard a price quote and then he started back up again how how it is ridiculous to spend that much extra money
