Thanks to ajunebride for choosing me as BOTW, and for the great questions. :)
My first question to you girls would be, did you have any say in what your engagement ring would be, or even picked it out? I know when my FH and I were a yr or so into dating, I started'jokingly' sending him pics of engagement rings I liked lol He didn't go with anything I sent him, and I'm actually glad he didn't, bc I loved knowing he did all this research before spending the week looking for the perfect ring. :)

I helped FH choose the ring. We first went to look just to get and idea of what styles there were and we ended up finding exactly what I liked.
He was glad I helped because he wanted to get something I'd like and that suited me.
I didn't want a big diamond that I would be afraid to lose as we like to go hiking, and I didn't want it always getting caught on things. We ended up with a Solitaire with an Enhancer, many people think it's one ring, but it's really 2. The enhancer has 2 smaller diamonds that fit on either side of the solitaire and 3 on either side of those. I love it.

I had always thought I wanted a solitaire, and that's what I told FH. Round solitaire. He picked out and added some design elements on my ring all by himself with a little input from my best friend. What you can't see in pics is that on the side of the ring, like underneath the diamond, are two teeny tiny amethysts, one on each side, which is our daughters birthstone. He said, so it will be perfect to hand down to her someday. He really put a lot of thought into it.
ETA: it's nothing what I thought I wanted but I can't imagine it ever being anything else now.
I love the detail with your daughter's birthstone. Just tugs at the heart strings. I'm all about the sentimental details! Gorg!

I can't tell the difference between a cushion cut or princess but all I knew is I wanted three diamonds on my ring. But as we would casually browse rings, my taste kind of evolved and FW was able to pick the perfect ring that incorporated all the elements I loved.
He told me to pick it out after he asked what I liked and I kept sending him too many different options. I ended up falling in love with a vintage estate piece at my family jewelers and its absolutely perfect. Its different and nothing anyone with ever have. Its everything I never knew I always wanted... just like FH.
