Hi ladies! So I have to leave for work at 11:40, work from 12:00-6:30, and then be at a friend's going away party by 8:00. So the QOTD will be a quick one today!
Was FH your first love? Were you his?
I never said 'I love you' to anyone before. But I had thought in my head 'Oh I love them blahblahblah', but when I met and fell in love with FH, I realized that what I had felt before was so not love even in the slightest form.
FH had said 'I love you' to two people before. But it was the same situation as for me. When he met and fell in love wth me, he said he realized that neither of those were really love at all either.

I had another boyfriend before FH who I really cared about and he was a great guy. But, FH and I are highschool sweethearts. I don't know if FH could really be considered my 'first love' but he is definitely the last.

Unfortunately NO!!! FH and I had gone to the same elementry school, he was in the grade above me. We never spoke and the year he graduated is when I realized I found him 'cute' ( I was 12)...but i would never see him again. That summer my mom, my stepdad and I moved right across the street from FH and he was my first BF. But we broke up and he had ONE gf and I had plenty of BF's...He was not my first love and I wasn't his, but in life i think we all have Puppy Love, our First Love and our True Love! To me, he is my True Love!!!!

Not at all. My first love was my first boyfriend...we met and dated my entire Freshman year....buuuut that had to be done because we were both young and stupid.
Then I was with my most recent ex for 3 years before we broke up...I loved him but we were so not right for each other.
FH was not my first love, but he will certainly be my last
ETA: I wasn't his first love either, but I'll be his last too

No and No. Both of us had been in very serious relationships before we met. It's fine with me, because we learn from our histories. The things we learned from our ex's have only made our relationship stronger.

his my first bf and 1st love. never have I said 'I love u' to anybody before him. I felt that I loved this guy in college, but that was soooo not love, more like obsession. I always knew I am going to marry my 1st bf and here we are. waited exactly 28 yrs (started dating a few days before my 28th bday) to meet someone and so glad that never loved anyone but him FH had 2 other gf's and loved them, but he says it was never this mature and totally devoted love that he has for me - it wasn't with all of his heart.

First love... well, I've had serious bf's before, and he's had gf's. Lots of I love you's exchanged, but in retrospect we both realize that this is the real, true love!

FH was not my first love but I was his. Sometimes I wonder if that is bad that he never loved anyone else but he says he is happy that I am his one true love.

I'm FH's first love/first serious gf. He was not my first love. I had plenty of bf's before him with whom I said I love you to, and what I thought were serious relationships, but I will say that he was my first healthy real long term relationship, so I consider him to be the first person that I truly love.
I hope that makes sense. It's hard to explain in just one paragraph lol

Nope. FH was in love with his first girlfriend and I was in love with the guy I dated for a few years before FH. First loves are wonderful but a second love is so much more developed and you learn from your mistakes. I'm glad he's my second love because it makes me appreciate him so much more.

Both FH and I had serious relationships before this... but he is the first person I feel completely devoted to. This is the first relationship I've had where there's equal respect, and love... and I'm sure the same goes for him.
Love and respect are high in my book, and I can't wait for us to share the rest of our lives together.

Yes and No. I have loved other guys and have had serious relationships before. I even was engaged 4 years ago and I thought I loved my ex. But FH is a whole different kind of love. From the beginning we clicked.... call is love at first sight, fate,,,, i don't know.... we just knew. He is amazing and it is a whole different level of love.

No we both loved other people before but imo love alone is not enough...the person also has to be right for you and none of the people FH or I loved in the past were right for us. When I fell in love with FH not only did I love him but it made sense and worked
