In honor of the amazingly trashy yet amazingly good premiere show of Hitched or Ditched (guilty pleasure much? )... We all LOVE any type of wedding reality show: Bridezillas, Platinum Weddings, Rich Bride Poor Bride, My Fair Wedding, etc. etc. Would you ever go on one of these shows? Which ones and under what circumstances?
As much as I am waiting for my shot at fame, I don't think I would ever go on one of these shows. The whole thing is edited solely to make the bride to be look like a (insert horrible adjectives and names here). The only way I would consider doing one is if they compensated me with LOTS of money... but I don't think that's the case. I heard on some of the shows you get a vacation. Making myself look like a raging lunatic on national television isn't worth a free vacation IMO lol. Also, with the ones where you get a free wedding... I feel like you give up so much control over your day. The only show that I would consider going on is Platinum Weddings (if I had the means to have one!) because SOMETIMES the bride doesn't come off as a superficial spolied brat beyotch.

I don't think I could. I want my wedding to mean something and be special and intimate. I feel like those shows would just ruin it.

i don't think i can handle my fair wedding.. if david tutera came in and changed everything i've been working so hard on i don't think i could handle it LOL yess he does an amazing wedding!! but i don't think i can handle the stress of my whole wedding being in the hands of someone else two weeks beforehand
& i don't think i'm b!!tchy enough for bridezillas (hmmmm maybe i might be the month before my wedding tho haha) LOL

yeah i dont think i would do it either....i would hate being in front of the camera. I also think the wedding day is something special and I don't want it to be turned into a circus with a film crew there...probably trying to cause/capture drama so they get an interesting episode.
i'd rather just stick to watching these trashy shows than to actually be on it!!
edited to add: maybe i would go on platinum weddings or something that doesnt make the bride look crazy....but def not bridezillas or rich bride poor bride

there used to be a show (not sure if its still on) about the guy proposing to the girl. it came on last year before i was engaged. i would have went on that show! it was so sweet.
and mainly they followed the guy around freaking out about how to plan the perfect proposal. the girl just got surprised

I would go on any of those shows...I really wouldnt care what other people thought of me, bc honestly, the majority of the US population doesnt watch half of these shows and the few people who do wont remember what you look like a few hours after the show has ended... If FH and I were to get something truely awesome out of it, I would do any of those shows in a heartbeat.

I think the only show that I would do is My Fair Wedding and thats because David Tutera does an awesome job of what he makes the wedding to be, so I would trust him to make my day awesome

The only one i would even CONSIDER going on is rich bride poor bride. I feel like out of all the shows they don't make the bride look THAT bad. I wish i could say i had the $ to go on Platnium weddings lol.
But like you said, and i know from experience, editing can turn your world upside down.

I would do My Fair Wedding. I'm obsessed with David Tuttera. He turns every wedding into this amazing, eye popping THE event. does anybody know if they pay for the wedding? In that case I would not even think about it for a second! Also, I would love for somebody else to plan this thing for me. I so do not enjoy the headache that come from some of the details.
I love DT so much that when I saw him on the street next to my job, I was jumping up and down from excitement - yup, I'm a total dork

I would have to say that if I was a super duper millionaire...I may be tempted to do Platinum weddings, just because I would want to show off what I could afford!!! (coz right now can't afford much!! )

If I had the money to do a Platinum Wedding, I'd definitely go on that!
I would do My Fair Wedding, but I think I'd be going crazy the whole time. I'm a control freak and I don't know if I could handle not knowing anything about my own wedding. I mentioned it once to my mom that I wish David Tutera could come and plan my wedding and her response was 'You'd never get through it. You're too much of a control freak.'
Now, I've been really good about not being a bridezilla. But I definitely have the potential to be if people push me far enough I've already told my parents that they need to get along that day and if they pi$$ me off, they're going home....regardless of who's paying for the wedding

Definitely couldn't do it... I am beyond camera shy and I'd never be able to relinquish control to people I don't know. I'm having enough trouble with my dad 'taking care of' the limos - I have no say in it at all and it's freaking me out!

Noooo way. Because you know they are telling you what to do and editing things for their commercial purposes. I don't want to sell out on my wedding day at alllllll

So I actually was approached to be on 'Say Yes to the Dress'. I turned it down. Number 1: they don't pay for the dress, Number 2: you have to go to Kleinfeld's in BK, where the dresses start at $3K, which is not in my budget, Number 3: I had no desire to have my experience on tv like that. I didn't feel it would be dramatic, they way they would like. I felt there was nothing in it for me to do it, besides the chance to be on tv. No thanks!
