Hey everyone! I am excited because today I am UNDER 500 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! 499 more days woot woot!
So are you the type of bride/groom that wants the engagement process to last forever? Do you have the wedding itch so bad that you just want to elope now? Are you enjoying the engagement period while it lasts?
I think I am at a happy medium. I have been waiting to plan a wedding for my ENTIRE life and am having so much fun doing it, especially since FH is having a ball as well. BUT I am anxious for my wedding to be here! I think I would rather be married than engaged. I just want my wedding to be here already and I am still so far away! It's crazy to think that some of you girls/guys have only a few more months, but some (like me ) still have way over one year!

well i guess because i've been engaged over a year now that im really ready to be married now LOL... now its just waiiiiiting... especially since i have all my major vendors booked.

If we had the money I would have only liked a year engagement - but I have a year and a half and I do want to get married now but it has gone fast. Any longer of an engagement I would have gone crazy

I'm enjoying the engagement time while it lasts. I didn't want to rush into a wedding that was not properly planned; so I think we gave ourselves enough time to get everything just right and to stay sane. I would not have been able to plan a wedding for 2009 without stressing myself out. And eloping was never an option for us, we wanted to have the nice ceremony and reception where everyone can share in our special day.
I have heard a few of my BM's say watching me plan my wedding has made them think about eloping; but I always tell them they should enjoy the planning process regardless of the stress.

I love being engagement but I wish we were getting married this October. I feel like next October is sooo far away. Im doing well planning but I usually wor better under pressure!! I have too much time to think about stuff.

i can't wait to be married. and start having kids. we got engaged June 2008 so by the wedding we would have been engaged for almost 2 and a half years.

I'm trying to enjoy being engaged and, for the most part I am...but there's always at least one point in the day where I just really want to be married to him already!!

I am enjoying the whole engagement process, but there are days that I wish we can get married today. Those are the days that I dont see FH. I just love being with him so much that I dont ever want to go a few days without seeing him. Those are the time I wish we were married

hmm i'd love to be married to my FH right now.. but i like that we took the time to plan everything out.. i like that we had the time to choose where and when we wanted to get married rather than throwing everything together in a few months.. it makes me feel more relaxed

scott and I got engaged 1-1-09 and will be getting married 10-30-11 so it is a LONG engagement...We totally choose it to be this way. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the planning process, it is so much fun and I love that i have all the time to do it, make changes, add things, take them away etc. But I do feel like if i was more set in my career and financially we would have done a much shorter engagment, like 1.5 years. But for now im happy with the way things are!

I'm older than most of the girls here (I'll be 31 in September), so I would have actually liked a shorter engagement. Its not as easy to plan here, so we had to go with a longer engagement (we were engaged in November, I really wanted to get married this September). I just dont want to feel like I am rushing to have kids, which I know I am going to do - I would ideally like to be married for a year or two before trying, but with my age and worries about fertility, not happening.

Being engaged is fun and I feel like I don't want it to go by to fast. I kinda wanna just enjoy the rest of the time, especially since we started planning like 3 weeks after we got engaged. I am excited for the day and I know it's going to sneak up on me but I still wanna enjoy my engagement!

Congrats on breaking 500!
I got engaged in October 2008...ideally I wish I was getting married this September instead of next September..i am so excited i just dont want to wait over a year but i still want to enjoy being engaged a little
