I'm seriously obsessed with my engagement ring and the engagement rings of other girls. I'm always checking out rings on other people ... I just love how every ring has a story behind it and are beautiful in their own way.

So - what is the cut of your ring? If you absolutely could not have your current cut, what cut would you choose?



Mine is a brilliant cut, the band is made up of smaller round diamonds, all set in platinum. It's literally the ring I've dreamed of since I was little. But, if I absolutely had to change, I think I would want a cushion cut. I've always thought they are SO classy and beautiful!

Mine is a brilliant round solitaire on a white gold band. I am obsessed with mine as well and the best part is I don't think it will ever look outdated since it is so simple. I think cushion cut is also my second favorite.

I really always wanted a cushion cut after looking at diamonds alone in the puriest form a round is really so much more brilliant and so much more timeless so I got a round :)

mine is a princess cut in a halo setting with diamonds on the band...I told FH what I wanted and it was the complete opposite of my ring but I absolutely love it and wouldn't change it, partly because he decided on his own.
I wanted the Tiffany Novo, cushion cut w/ diamonds on the band.

My ring is the Tiffany round brilliant with bead set band. It's the exact ring I wanted, it's perfect. I've had it for over a year now and still look down and stare at it because its so pretty and sparkley!


Edit: Whoops! Set in platinum! Lol so focused on the diamond, I forget the setting!

My ring is princess cut center stone with three small round stones on either side of it. I had told FH I wanted princess cut and white gold and thats it. But when he went shopping, he thought the side stones made it look nicer. He said his mom was telling him to just get what I said I wanted, but he went with his gut and I absolutely love it. I love that it is not only what I asked for, but that there is the element of him thinking about what I would like best.

My ring is white gold with a princess cut center stone and a split shank band with 25 little diamonds on either side. All I told FH was that I wanted princess cut and white gold, and he did the rest. It's absolutely PERFECT for me!

I was very specific with the ring I wanted. I told FH that I wanted a cushion cut with a halo and that's what he got! I originally wanted the wider cushion cut but that wouldn't have looked good in my setting so he ended up getting the longer cushion cut. Pics in my album! If I couldn't get a cushion cut I would have wanted an emerald cut.

Mine is cushion cut with a plain band. The diamond itself is gorgeous. I didn't want a band with anything on it. It's very much me :)

ETA: there's a picture in my album of the ring. It's almost like a rectangle cushion! Not the standard one.

Mine is a round brilliant solitare nothing on the band. Band is white gold. I wouldn't change the ring for anything except maybe add some small diamonds to the band. But I love it. It's so classy I think and timeless

This is my ring exactly, that's so funny. the setting is exactly the same. I always wanted a round diamond, and I didn't think I wanted the halo setting, but now that I have it, I can't believe I ever thought against it.

Mine is a round brilliant with a thin platinum band - I absolutely LOVE it. My second choice would be the same cut diamond with diamonds the thin band.

I grew up always admiring my mom's ring and I wanted something similiar to hers. FH took me to the diamond district like 2 years before we got engaged so I could learn what I actually liked The cut of the center stone is Radiant but that's all I know. It has two slightly smaller stones on the side that are circular and then smaller versions of the circles on the band.
