QOTD | 09.21.13

I'm about to head out ... hopefully deciding on my DRESS today! I'm actually going with my mom and my 2 MOHs this time.

So ... tell me about your MOHs. Who are they? How long have you known them? What makes them special?


I have a matron and a maid of honor. They have both been my best friends since 2nd grade - and I can't imagine getting married without them by my side. My matron of honor is the sweetest, kindest person I've ever met. She has already totally taken charge and is making sure things are getting organized so that she can begin HER planning! My maid of honor has always been wild and crazy like me ... we have so many fun memories together. We've been a three-pack forever!!

Great question! Mine is my sister in law, she's amazing. It was a hard decision, because I had been MOH for a friend of mine not long before getting engaged, and I was very honored to have that position, but I just couldn't reciprocate and felt a little bad (I made my friend a BM though).

I knew I had made the right choice when my SIL told me how when she can't sleep at night, she starts brainstorming for her MOH speech lol

My MOH is my sister. We were always close growing up. It was a no brainer for me! Plus who else knows me better when I have my bride brain melt downs? No one can talk me down like her lol

My maid of honor is one of my best friends Nicole. We have been friends for about 8 years and she has seriously been there for me for EVERYTHING.

She was the girl who kicked my hungover butt off the couch after a party to make sure I made it to my HS graduation on time lol. Her family has become my second family. Her kid sister is my kid sister. Her family let me live with them for 3 years... no questions asked ... nothing.

She is seriously one of the best people I have ever met and I really couldn't picture anyone else being my MOH!

My MOH is my cousin. She is 3 years older than me but she has been like my sister for my whole life. She is truly my best friend and we are so similar in our taste with everything that I knew she was the perfect choice.

I have one maid of honor, my sister and 8 bridesmaids. My sister is the complete opposite of me personality wise. Some people question how we are related! Lol. But I love her and was happy to give her the title. The other 8 are:
1. My oldest childhood friend, N
2. My second oldest friend, T
3. A friend who is half the reason I am with my FH, G. I was also a bridesmaid in hers 2 years ago at The Sterling! She helped me pick out my color scheme for the wedding. I think she was a wedding planner in a past life!
4. My FH's cousin, A. The night FH met, she canceled on him and a mutual friend called FH up to come out. So thank God she cancelled huh?
5. My aunt, A. (We are only 6 years apart). Her 2 daughters will be my flower girls.
6. My aunt, C (we are only 4 years apart)
7. My friend K, who got married at Fox Hollow last December. Her input had also been very valuable during this process, especially since she just went through it!
8. My FSIL, E. Her kids will be in ring bearer and one of the flower girls :)

Oops! You said just the MOH. I thought you meant whole wedding party. Well now you got the low down on them all anyway haha

She did a lot to always be a positive role model for me, because she knew I idolized her every move. Now, I work hard at everything I do in order to make her proud. I am so happy that she will be giving me a 6 month old ring bearer for my wedding :) There has never once been a question that she would be my MOH.

My moh is my younger cousin. I am the youngest of four and the only girl so growing up my cousin has always been my little sister. It was a no brainer that she would be my moh.

I also have a matron and a maid of (dis)honor. They have been my best friends since High School and I could never choose between them nor picture my wedding without them . I love them like sisters I never had :)
