QOTD- 1/13/13
Wow, my last QOTD. This has been such a fun week.I've been reflecting a lot about my relationship with FH. We were choosing his vacation weeks for next year and talking about the holidays next year when it dawned on me that next year for the holidays we will be married and in our own home. Thinking about our future made me very reminiscent about our past. And that is how I came up with today's question.
When was the moment you realized that you were in love with your fiance (obviosly not your fiance at the time)?
When FH and I met, I had finally gotten to a point in my life where I didn't need to be with someone to feel whole. It had taken me a lot of hard work to get to that point and then this guy wanted to take me out. I agreed but was not ready for a serious relationship. We dated for a while, nothing physical ever happened, no kissing, no NOTHING. He even 'accidentally' said 'I love you' after one date which totally freaked us both out (it was like three weeks in) but I decided to give him another chance rather than go back to exes which were exes for a reason. I had reservations to meet up with some college friends, including an ex, that summer. Everyone dropped out except me and my ex. The plan, before I met FH, was to kinda rekindle something. A bunch of people in my life told me that since I was dating someone new it would be a bad idea to go on this trip and share a room with my ex. I made the difficult decision to cancel the whole trip. I called my ex, and told him, then proceeded to crawl into a bawl on my bedroom floor and cry my eyes out. FH was on his way home from work and stopped at my parents' house. He saw me one the floor and joined me. He procedded to hold me and tell me cheesey jokes and within a few short moments I was no longer crying, I was laughing and smiling and I was not thinking about my ex one bit! In that moment I thought about what had just happened and I new that as hung up as I was about my ex and as much as I didn't want a relationship, I was in love with this man sitting on the floor with me. I knew that anytime I was upset, he could make me feel beter. That is when I decided to really give him a chance and it was the best decision I have ever made. He has cheered me up and made me smile so much since that day.
P.S. To everyone going to the shower today, have a wonderful time! Can't wait to see pictures!

The minute I met him, I knew there was something special about him. I literally knew by the end of our first date that I was going to marry him.

FH and I were friends for years before we started datiing. I always knew I 'loved' him but i didnt know I was in love with him untill a few months after we called our relationship offical. ... About 4 months into our relationship, FH tragically lost his younger cousin in a car accident, during this I realized how in love I was with him because I was so overwelemed with pain and sorrow for him ( like I was part of him and never felt that way before for anyone else), in that instant I knew that I truley was in love with him and I would help him through this difficult period in his life. Sounds weird but in times of true crisis you truley find what your relationship is made of.

FH lost his mother about a year after we began dating. I totally understand EXACTLY what you mean.

It was a few months into our relationship... it was time for him to either reenlist in the marines or end his active duty. He that he was thinking about reenlisting and I pictured our future together as a military family; deployments, moving, uncertainty. This was the first time I really pictured marrying him. I told him to do whatever he wanted and we'd make it work. (another big step for me!) He didn't reenlist :)

on 12-12-05, we had just met a few weeks before and he stayed up all night teaching me basic statistics so I wouldnt fail my MBA class. He's a theoretical physicist, so it must have been boring as heck for him, but he patiently taught me all I needed to know. We celebrate 12-12 every year now!
