I know we’re all keeping a close eye on our countdowns. I often find myself thinking back to the beginning of the planning process and how this time last year I had no idea that I was going to get engaged anytime soon, and now we are full speed ahead for wedded bliss. I would like to know: What part of the planning process were you in however many days or months away from your wedding date ago? Were you even engaged? I know that‘s confusing so I’ll explain…For example, I am 6 months away from my date so 6 months ago I was dress shopping at The Bridal Suite of Bayshore. I found a close contender to the dress I wound up picking. My best friend cried and I had a sense of accomplishment because we didn’t have anything even booked yet. I was glad to at least find a dress I really liked and evoked some emotion out of someone. I was narrowing down my likes and dislikes. I hope thats clear. Sorry for any confusion.

I'm 2 months away, but 2 months ago, I was rebooking a venue because my original venue shut down and took my deposit :(. I don't care, that place was not that nice anyway, bet the food was crap.

And yes! I was engaged :D

I am 9 months away, and 9 months ago I had just ordered my gown, and was in the process of booking our band. Our venue had been booked already, we had been engaged for around 2 months.

I'm about 7 months away from our wedding. 7 months ago we weren't wedding planning at all yet, stil basking in the glow of getting engaged!

I'm 9 months away and 9 months ago we weren't engaged yet though I think FH had started plotting with my best friend about my ring. It's funny to think about this. Good question!

I'm 9 months away and 9 months ago we booked the venue/went to visit with the Priest. We were engaged for 1 month at that point.

5 days away from my wedding so yes was engaged last week lol. this is my hour of relaxing before hopefully getting a pedicure, going back to the mall, and then going to pay fox hollow tonight. I wonder if they'll give us some food? lol. would think after paying them over $20,000 they could give some food tonight....

anyway 5 days ago was stressed because jetblue canceled my mom's flight that Tuesday morning and didn't even bother to tell her! she went to print her boarding pass Monday night and it's like oh this has been canceled. oh wow they gave a $50 credit...... big deal. she flew in Wednesday night instead but had to stop in Boston which got delayed for 2 hours. we had to go pick her up at like 2 am! surprisingly JFK was insanely crowded too at almost 2 am. guess flights from west coast all get in that late or something.

i'm 4 months away, and 4 months ago i was in the process making our invitations! i made pocketfolds and it took months to do... if i coud go back, i probably would have just bought them lol, but I saved so much money in the process and they look amazing. I'm just happy I'm done!

We're 6 months to our wedding and 6 months ago we were having our engagement party in June and preparing to take the summer off from wedding planning :)

40 days out now! Lets see, 40 days ago were were probably meeting with Fox Hollow to solidify our menu and the linens - and I was signing the contract for our cigar roller (FH's surprise gift)
Oh - and yes - we were engaged

Almost same story. 9 mos away and 9 mos ago wasn't engaged though we have spoken about marriage prior to. Got engaged in October

I am 7 months away from the wedding and 7 months ago we were booking our photographer, videographer and DJ. We were engaged from 3 months then.

I'm EXACTLY 11 months away and 11 months ago we were engaged for one month and had just booked our venue!! We had started looking at DJs and photographers because I knew WHO I wanted and I didn't want anyone to snatch them up on my date (12.13.14)!

I'm 5 months away, and 5 months ago, I was looking for bridesmaid dresses and a hair and makeup artist. Pretty much everything else was exactly how it is now.
